It was a stupid call

On the road in Death Valley, you take the points. Instead he cost his team points and momentum

on 4th and 9........

Pulled that straight out of the Les Miles playbook.

It was definitely ballsy. I was impressed by how quickly #9 read it. That kid was sort of in the shadows but he has emerged as one of the stars of the team

His goal there, besides getting 9 or more yards, was to do something that would get talked about. Congrats Kirby.

It was a wierd time in the game for the call but the play was there.Poorly executed by UGA and a great play
by Delpit. The guy is a 1st team AA IMO

Delpit is the best player on LSU.

I think Kirby was trying to look cool stealing it from LSU and using it against them at their place. It blew up in his face, but I imagine he had envisioned it being a positive highlight reel in his favor.

If it had worked people would be calling him a genius and having balls of steel.

LSU was 4/4 on 4th downs, read that fake perfectly and snuffed it out, punted when they should have that pinned UGA inside the 5 then led to a pick.

LSU's gambles paid off, UGA's didnt, and LSU won the turnover battle. LSU turning the ball over killed them against UF, otherwise that was how they were jumping on top of teams before that. Our RBs were carrying the ball with 2 hands all game, specifically a couple of plays come into mind where UGA tried to strip CEH and Burrow and failing both times, you could tell they made ball protection a priority coming into the game.

It actually was a smart call and should have worked but Delpit who is outplaying our two All-Americans and has to be serious contender for SEC defensive player of the year, somehow sniffed the play out. He should not have been there but yet he was.
I bet he will get Kirby’s vote

Delpit was out there because the dummy on the line blocked him toward the play. If the blocker allows Delpit to come underneath on a blocked punt angle, it would have been a very hard play for LSU to defend. Instead he stuffed him, delpit peeled off and saw the ball. Great play... but moronic line play by UGA.

What?No he didnt...just watched the replay 4 times on YouTube and in no way does Delpit get "blocked into the play".He had his head up an spotted the play immediately and peeled off...nobody really touched em.

It was also poorly executed by Camarda...he didn't lead
Blankenship and the split second delay helped blow up the play.

Coaches are geniuses when these work and their morons when they don’t. I sure as hell didn’t expect a fake. Thank god the best safety in the country kept his assignment.

Delpit said on the play after the game, that he saw something in the way the line was lined up, made him realize that something was off on that play. I will say the credit goes to him
