In his defense, Fromm looked a lot better his first two years than he did this year. Plus to properly utilize Fields, you'd have to adapt that offense a little.

I actually predicted Fromm would flop a few years ago and said that his numbers were drastically inflated because he was throwing into defenses that were stacking the box.

You can compare both his and Kyle Trask's playing styles and see that there is a giant difference in what they're doing:

Fromm got to use superstar running backs + OL + WR and threw almost primarily into run defenses. Which means he had a lot of one on ones, a lot of CBs on an island and really the numbers were really in his favor.

Trask has had almost no running game to help him and is throwing primarily into pass defenses (they know he will pass often) and is still managing to hit his targets.

I could very easily pull up my posts from a few years ago, but only if people say I'm lying.

If I could see it, how on Earth couldn't Kirby? He's literally an expert at football.

How was it the right decision at the time? We all new Fromm would never win a championship after his first year.
The year a true freshman took Alabama into OT in the National Championship game? Wow, You are a smart one.

The guy is just a game manager

Several Alabama QBs were called game managers, and you know what? they won Championships. AJ McCarron, for instance.

quote:

What makes it so bad is that they let 2 star caliber QBs walk to keep Fromm .
Should we have threatened to break their legs if they left?

By the way, genius....Eason and Fromms statistics were very similar this year. I think Eason had 500 more yards passing but almost the same number of TDs and Fromm threw fewer INTs.
You didn't realize that, did you? no, but that iddn't stop you from posting that drivel.

Your QB whisperer of a coach thought Franks was going to lead Florida to the promised land, so I don't think I would talk about our coaches QB decisions.

Like I said, Hurts had more success than Fromm and Saban correctly benched him for a true freshman. I can tell you that as an LSU fan I was glad when Fields transferred, from the very limited action last year he was scarier than Fromm.

And you incorrectly predicted:

Chip Kelly would be Florida's coach
Florida would beat Gergia in 2017
Florida would beat Georgia in 2018
Florida would beat Georgia in 2019
Florida would win the east in 2018
Florida would win the East in 2019

Stop acting like you are some great football mind, because past posts show you are not.

Okay. And if you do not go by practice, how exactly are you supposed to do that? Feels? "I know he looks like crap in practice, but I FEEL like he is the guy!"

In kirby’s Defense, Saban only did that out of desperation

The receiving Corp is much less talented this year, am I correct? That would have a huge impact

They had the talent, but were very, very young. we lost all of our starters, including TE, and then our most promising WR was kicked off the team.

That said we had 2 5* freshmen come in and a good Graduate Transfer, but the GT was injured half the year, and the freshmen never developed the chemistry needed with Fromm. They ran poor routes and could not get separation.

Honestly? I'm not sure if it was the WR coach, offensive scheme, Fromm regressing, the young WRs....I am guessing all of the above.

It is what it is.

Does the coach not go to practice? He should have seen Fields was better. Anyone could have seen it.

He said that Florida would win out after their victory against Vandy in 2017.
They went 1-6 the rest if the way.

He predicted florida would continue as a top 10 scoring defense after the 2018 Miss St game. They went on to give up 27 points to Vandy and 30+ the following 3 weeks. Final ranking went from <10ppg and top 10 in the country to 20ppg and 20th in the country.

I love his predictions as much as any on this board

Really? Were you at the practices? because the reports we were getting said Fields was not getting it done in practice.

Those reports came from reporters and some people that saw them from our board. Look. It wasn't that Fields is not good. nobody is arguing that. He was not a fit for the system we were running, and we had a young QB that had just brought us to the NC game that we lost in OT. Everything pointed to his improving a bit every year, like most people do. He struggled in a couple of games the next year, and then the wheels came off last year due to a lot of reasons.

Do you really think a coach with a multi-million dollar contract is going to put it in jeopardy because...well....because?

But look, everybody! he predicted that Fromm would struggle!

I guess if you talk nonstop one of your predictions are bound to come true.

Definitely had bad takes, but I definitely called Fromm years ago.

Being wrong in the past about some things doesn't somehow cancel out that I predicted Fromm's struggles years ago.

And boy I got you triggered.

The bigger question is if Fromm is so bad then why does he continually shite on Grantham and UF? I mean grantham is supposed to be an expert. Muschamp shut him down with less talent and somehow Fromm looks like Tom Brady when he plays UF.

But you don't seem to even realize why he had the season he did. All you know is he had a bad year....and he did. never mind, he lost his entire receiving corp the eyar before and was working with freshmen and a brand new GT who was hurt much of the time. never mind he was handcuffed by poor play calling. Never mind. He is just bad like you called it. The statistics tell the whole story.
No, Straws....this was another bad take. One in a long string of bad takes.

Not you per se. It's your arrogant, "look at me!" attitude you bring with you. You think you have some keen insight to football, and yet 80-90% of the time you are wrong. Oh, yes. You get the easy ones. you can call the Fl/Vandy games. You can call the Fl/Kentucky games. but let it be a close call and you are wrong more than half the time.

He wasn’t fit because the system is shite. Georgia runs a Les Miles style offense.

Did you somehow miss the part where i said that?

But that wasn't the only problem. It was a perfect storm of problems.
