Regardless of what happens, Kiffin is very pissed this came out. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him this obviously bothered

On twitter, Lane could have just ignored it.

He’s never been this clearly bothered by someone tweeting something out like this. The second tweet response makes it even more weird and in a way makes me feel a little better about our odds of keeping him. Who the frick knows though

I would be too but it’s the nature of society now. Leaks aren’t word of mouth rumors anymore. Leaks reach everyone with the click of a button. It’s nearly impossible to keep anything a secret like that. And I do hate that coaches have to deal with knowing their players are generally going to hear about things on twittter first and not the coach

I’m pretty sure there was news source that came out and said Gus was leaving for Arkansas in 2017. Probably all Sexton then.

The simple thing to do in that situation is not negotiate while a season is going on. If you play both sides like this during the season, you don’t deserve privacy in my opinion

If this leak about Kiffin leaving Friday is true, then Kiffin choosing to respond like this on Twitter flat out denying it while calling out the reporter saying it is going to make him look really bad. He wouldn’t choose to go after this if it was true, in my opinion.

That’s a good point. It was a weird tweet by Jon. “Kiffin is going to Auburn, but Auburn hasn’t offered anyone yet.”
