he part about him threatening coaches and staff doesn't seem to be true because the majority of coaches and staff hired at LSU from Ole Miss weren't on the plane with him that Sunday.
So how is that not true?....because they didnt follow him?

You think he threatened them, then was like just kidding guys, come on down?
Also, Golding was hired so they likely would have retained their jobs at Ole Miss and supposedly the offensive staff was going to have their salaries doubled.
You think they still left to go with a dude that threatened them?
You also said he did it to screw Ole Miss but then he let them go back and coach?
None of that makes sense.

I like LSU...great program....but Kiffin has always come across as a used car salesman
Yup, a slimy used car salesman. But one that knows offense. Something Kelly knew nothing about.

Classic lane… quitting on his team

Ummmm. It wasn’t his team last night. Literally had nothing to do with that team. Add the fact that he probably didn’t want to take anything away from the game. He was there for the interview, hang with Verge in the process and then leave.
His path of success at LSU starts today. Who cares about a meaningless bowl game of a team YOU DIDN’T COACH.

Maybe to show support to the young men that are going to be on your team starting today?

This is what I truly don’t get! The only way Texas or Alabama would come calling is if Lane is winning and winning BIG. Why in the heck would he ever leave LSU for another college program? The only way Texas and Alabama would want him is if he’s beating them consistently. So why would he leave for a rebuild when he is already dominating said teams? The only way he’s leaving is if he gets gets the itch for another pro job or he gets fired. Coaches at LSU don’t leave for other college programs. It’s a simple as that.

Jokes aside...not a good look.
Not sure what difference it made. He made a showing. He wasn't going to give the team a speech or take over coaching. He didn't prepare the team. If he needs to see the players he can do that by watching film.
Honestly, I don't see that his leaving made any difference.
Out of curiosity, why do you think it was "not a good look"?

Do you think those players saw him or cared? Today's players care about NIL, making it to the NFL, etc.
People make way too much of players wanting to show out for a future coach in a bowl game. If some coach forms hi opinion of players based on one game he won't make very good decisions. I would be willing to be, Kiffin has a decent idea of who he wants to keep and who he wants to go after from the portal already. He's probably already contacting some portal guys.
