UT lead UK 50-16 at the end of the 3rd quarter last year before letting off the gas. Could have put up 70 if they left the first string in. We bring back more starters than any other team in the conference and have out recruited UK by quite a bit. Tennessee has dominated both sides of the ball since Jones And Stoops took over. We will be significantly better in year 3.

They have definitely improved under Stoops every year and have started to recruit better since he landed in Lexington. I think he's doing a good job with that program and they end up going 6-6 and make it to a bowl. But UT isn't one of those 6 wins.

IMO Kentucky was extremely impressive the first 2 weeks of the season last year, they may have been the most impressive SEC team. The SEC schedule ultimately grinded them down, but their excellent performance their first 2 games showed the potential.

I think they finish ahead of South Carolina and Vandy this year. They will upset at least one team and mess up the standings for sure though.

They beat UT Martin (FCS) and struggled against Ohio.

Why? In the extremely unlikely event that you do win 8 games, he's just gonna welch like always.

6-6 is their best case scenario. They'll fall victim on the road to both the chickens and the grind.

coaching. UK improved. UTK took a step back.

Kentucky hired a better OC for their job opening than the one hired in Knoxville this past offseason. Dawson's time with both Mumme and Holgerson will be a big difference over what Neal Brown was in Lexington. he turned Clint Trickett a 3000 yd single season passer, which is a miracle unto itself.

UTK should have promoted Azzani instead of bringing in Debord, who's last offenses he was responsible for finished 6th in 2006 and 10th in 2007 - in a less-than-stellar Big Ten conference. if UTK was looking to improve its Olympic Sports profile, they certainly got the right man for the job.

I watched the USCe vs Kentucky game last year and imo South Carolina had a more talented team. The difference in that game was Kentucky's will to win. USC got up on them 14 points not once but twice in the game. UK had to fight through and overcome just to stay into the 4th quarter with these guys. For Kentucky to win this year, the team is going to have to come out and play an extremely physical ball game and not turn the ball over. If they do, Spurrier will make them pay.

They seem more like a 6-6 team . 5-7 seems as likely if not more likely then 8-4.

UK is only good when the Razorbacks are on the schedule, so you'll have to wait until 2019. Sorry.
