So, here we are. At least yesterday threads I read had UT fans looking ahead to Georgia, I hope that is true for the players and coaches.

Tennessee looks very good. Heupel is easily the national coach of the year at this point, and the Vol offense looks great. Reminds me of Mumme's offenses, but more spread out.

I'm told your defense is good up front, and weaker in the secondary. Not sure that will matter if our Oline can't keep the front 7 off Levis.

I don't see many weaknesses in this UT team.

For UK, we have had our normal season. High expectations met by stupid losses. We should be undefeated as well at this point.

Our offense still isn't that good, but we did have our best overall game last week, and the bye week came at a good time. We should have most everyone back, and hopefully Levis foot injury has had time to heal better.

The only way I can see UK getting the win is to keep our offense on the field and the UT offense off the field. We likely need a couple of breaks that lead to points, and our defense to play it's best game of the season.
We have to get in Hooker's head and make him hesitate on throws and make mistakes.

Our special teams is awful, which is it's own brand of ridiculous.

I hope Stoops and team has taken the time to figure out how to battle this Vol team. I guess we'll see. I don't expect us to win, but we have players that have won down in Knoxville. I hope it's a close game at the end with a chance to win. About all I can ask.

Let the discussion begin! It's Tennessee week.

Random Vol fans might be looking ahead but I remember the feeling of losing to the basketball school and seeing the streak end. And the basketball school is ranked, coming into Neyland with an over inflated sense of self worth. Vols escaped their trap game last week and will be focused on putting up a basketball score on the basketball team this week.

UK lives and dies by running the ball and the Vols are one of the best in the country at stopping the run. I don’t see a path to a UK victory here.

Our run defense looks pretty solid, but to be honest we haven't had that many run attempts on us. I also don't think we have championship level speed in the front 7 and will be tested by Rodriguez. Back end is not great, and littered with injuries.

This team goes as our offense goes. We should win handily Saturday, but if Hendon & Co have an off day, or look ahead, it could get interesting.

There are so many things that have to happen for Kentucky to win this one, and I just don't see them all lining up at once.

Will Levis has to play like last year's Will Levis that pulls the ball down if the play is not there, instead of this year's Will Levis that stands in the pocket until he fumbles, or throws a Pick Six. Will Levis has either put points up for the other team, or kept points off the board for Kentucky, literally, in every SEC game so far. It cost Kentucky against Ole Miss.

Rich Scangarello has to go with what's working and what works with his team, instead of trying to be the professor rather than just looking like one. That means no four second routes for a deep shot with a line that can only hold for three, and for crying out loud ... if the run is working, work the run. As much as Mark Stoops likes to pound the rock, Scangarello is baffling in his refusal to do so. Its cost Kentucky twice now.

The defense can at least run at the second level, so that will be a new twist for Hooker. But I don't think it will be enough. I see Tennessee scoring in the 30s, and Kentucky hasn't done that yet against SEC competition.

Kentucky will be less talented next year on offense, and hopefully also less frustrating to watch.

I'm nervous about the timing of this game, but VOLS have handled the emotions of this season well thus far, so I'm just hoping that continues.

I'm not sure if our run defense is great or if our pass defense is so bad that no one tries to run, but I expect Levis will have some big plays. We performed better than I expected against Jahmyr Gibbs/Bama run, but I still feel like our run defense is fairly untested, given the fact that everyone plans for a shoot-out against us.

Neyland should be poppin' and that will help. Hope it's a good game, everyone stays healthy on both teams and GO VOLS!

Nervous about this game. Especially the weather. Last I saw it was calling for some rain and wind so don’t know if it’ll effect our passing attack.

With the ranking we’re going to get everyone’s best shot. Just hope the guys can weather a storm in the beginning if UK comes out punching.

If UK can throw the ball we will have problems on defense. It’s not that we just can’t cover. We do a poor job tackling in space. The first guy needs to learn to slow the receiver down so help can come and prevent huge junk plays

Kentucky absolutely has a good chance to win, any team that plays us does. Our offense and special teams is good but our defense is atrocious, if Hooker has an off night we are in trouble. We have had a good year so far but this is not a championship level team defensively

UT Martin was not the trap game. THIS is the trap game.

Kentucky coming off a solid win followed by a bye week. And they are desperate to win this game.

Tennessee is depleted in the secondary, and I mean we're down to walk ons at this point. There's a chance we have some players back for this game, and holy shite we need them. If anyone on this team is looking ahead to Georgia, we are going to have a tough night.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit nervous about this game. Should we win? Oh, absolutely. But this is type of game that can ruin a great season.

I basically agree with everything you have said. I think the problem for UK is that UT's offense will wear down our defense over the course of the game.

Our only hope to prevent that is to control the ball and keep them off the field. Big task for sure, as we really haven't done that all season long. We also can't have any mistakes, which would be unique for this team as well.

Our Oline has to protect him, that's really the bottom line for UK. We have good receivers if he can just find time to throw to them, and we will have Robinson back.

The atmosphere should be electric. Wish I was going.

I hadn't really considered the weather, but a sloppy track might favor UK because of our run game, but you guys have good run stoppers, so maybe no.

Normally I would agree 100%, but this UK team has been so inconsistent all season, it's hard for me to think that could play an overall 60 minute game without errors. Cause that is what it is going to take.

Kentucky's oline is too weak and Levis makes lots of mistakes under pressure.

Too many people everywhere are looking ahead which worries me. I just hope the team isn’t.

If this team isn’t prepared and ready to go, this could end up like Peyton vs. Memphis and derail the year. I’ve had an ominous feeling about this one since Bama.

We should win. But Stoops will have those boys on fire ready to play the game of their season. I just hope we didn’t spend all of ours two weeks ago and/or saving it up for Georgia.

It's a risky game because of our secondary, but as long as we bring our best effort it shouldn't be close. I'm sure Heupel and the team understand that. I know that Hooker probably does.

We should be healthier than we have been for awhile but don't know how much that matters

I expect a loss but think we can potentially keep it close if our defense can shut the Tennessee O down

You won't be able to stop our offense. It's as simple as that.

Last year we had the ball for 13:29 and scored 42 points.

We're even better on offense this year. I have no doubt you will score on us. Our pass defense is too weak to stop it. However, I think we can score more points than you can.

Josh Heupel has his work cut out for him. He has to make sure this team is not looking at Georgia and ignoring Kentucky. That's a sure fire recipe to get our arse beat.

Last year, Kentucky often didn't even get lined up correctly. If thats the case again, it'll be over early.
