It’s year 2 and he was handed a dumpster fire. The teams we’ve lost to are a combined 25-2.

Orgeron left a mess. He had a few good wins in year one and its only year two. Might take another year but he will get it turned around they guy knows what he is doing.

Kelly is a good coach and will keep LSU in contention in a tough SEC. He does need a new defensive coordinator, but he is in fabulous recruiting territory, and even goofy guys like Coach O and Les won natties there.

Kelly is a good coach. He's got a super high floor and will almost always have a solid football team.

All of you keep repeating he inherited a mess, but you have to go back to 2018 to see a "bad" recruiting class at LSU. And that was still ranked 15th. The fact LSU is so dependent on a mobile QB to win is a red flag he doesn't understand how to build a team.

Sure. If you just ignore the fact that he inherited a roster with less than 40 scholarship guys on it, yeah that makes total sense.
Last year our ST we’re atrocious. He fired Polian (his right hand man for a long time) and the unit got much better. I’m expecting the defense to do the same. Not saying it’ll be an elite unit in 24 but it’ll improve a lot.

And this is year two. He won the west in year one. He didn’t have the 40 scholarships issue to contend with this season.
