t would take another 4-5 years for Jimbo to amass the same level of desired talent at LSU.

What so funny about this? LSU haven't been the same since 2019!

LSU? Never heard of them. Are they one of those new CUSA teams?

I agree with this.

Texas A&M has never lost a coach over money.

Tough to say, but Fisher is the most successful coach at A&M in almost 25 years.

If necessary A&M will counteroffer and it would be compelling. I would expect LSU would go another direction at that point.

As stated, A&M fans and administration have proven a commitment to Football and to Jimbo - even supporting his charity handsomely. That doesn’t happen everywhere and can’t go unnoticed.

Interesting point about how Fisher can be king of the state, like Saban in Bama and Smart in Georgia, but cant do that in Texas.

3 counterpoints, though:

1. There are 600,000 high school students in Louisiana. There are 5.5 Million in Texas. I think there is more than enough talent in Texas to share with some of our less fortunate brothers.

2. Jimbo recruits nationally, and there is NOTHING to stop him from poaching more out of Louisiana itself.

3. Saban may be "king of Bama" but that is not why he has the program he has- it's not some Bama high school football factory.

Whatever perk Jimbo would have in Louisiana, he would have in Texas, plus a LOT MORE, and much LESS problems.

The fanbase actually does not want him.

Scott Woodward doesn't speak for us.

Both of those are fairly baffling. I'm not saying LSU is a lousy job, it is a great job, but why would Fisher leave A&M when he is making more money than some US states and is worshiped as a living god despite not having done much? If he is Woodward's main target than is Woodward willing to not only fork over more than 10 million a year but also pay the buyout?

THIS!

We are looking for more than what he has done at A&M. Hell, Les Miles got off to a better start.

this under achieving HC fact most of us would be pissed off.

Just out of curiosity, could you tell me when and where he has underachieved? In what situation has he performed less than would be expected? Come on, let's have it.

Maybe that's the difference between A&M and LSU. Our AD knows exactly what the fans want.

Jimbo is not a candidate for the job. Any article you see saying this is 100% false.

The 2015 negoatiations prior to us keeping Miles soured the board of directors on Jimbo.

This is actually a good point.

Jimbo has exceeded Aggie expectations.

Here it would be an under achievement unless he won a National Championship. This is something our last 3 coaches have done and the next one will be expected to do it as well.

Which is probably why Woodward is such a great AD. Once you start listening to fans, you end up sitting with them.

Was this league a quarterback league back then when the score seemed to be low scoring ones? You saying defense have fallen off or is it teams finally getting good quarterbacks and beating the defense that usually stop them many years ago.

Why would Jimbo leave when he knows he will be put in the same pod as Texas and OU and he can kick their arses every year?
