Why would Jimbo leave when he knows he will be put in the same pod as Texas and OU and he can kick their arses every year?

I don't think Fisher will leave. That is my opinion - have nothing to back it up. I think if anything you can examine Fisher's words and actions, and the recruiting class as evidence that Fisher isn't leaving

He quit recruiting at FSU before he left

This won't be popular but why would would he go to LSU?

facilities at A&M are far superior than LSU
LSU can hardly afford to fire Ogreon, can LSU really afford Jimbo or this about LSU getting out there and trying to convince that they can afford him or anyone else they want?

I never understand why people make posts like these.

You know nothing about LSU's finances. We do what every school does. Our boosters have already donated the money to pay O's buyout. Nothing is coming from LSU's bank account on that.

If we didn't have the money to hire a new coach, don't you think we would have just kept O?

I mean do you people even use that thing in your head called a brain before you post?

Actually we know this much:

quote:

LSU, like many other schools, is facing financial pressure this year, and has turned to budget cuts to address a projected $80 million loss in revenue.

Coaches and other employees with contracts have been asked to voluntarily reduce their annual salary by 5 percent next year

Overall, staff earning above $80,000 are subject to a 5 percent salary decrease in 2021, the athletic department won’t give bonuses to coaches and staff for one year and LSU will only approve new positions, promotions, salary adjustments and position replacements in “essential situations” through June 30, 2023.

You were saying?

Nebraska getting rid of Scott Frost would be suicide. Let him run out his restructured deal(assuming he took a big buyout drop) and if it doesn't work out, then you start over. Every time I see Nebraska play, over the period of him being there, it's Adrian Martinez making a mistake that costs them. Maybe once he's gone, Frost will have a come to Jesus epiphany that practice isn't showing you the best QB, or maybe even that his offensive philosophy needs to change. But fire him now, and you're fighting two of the best jobs in the country and you don't have very many coaches to give you the instant spark. And those that do aren't likely looking at Nebraska as a destination, so you have to get lucky, like Arkansas with Pittboss or Tennessee with Heupel.

This is about program perception: if Jimbo stays, it solidifies A&M as a destination job and is a punch to the gumbo-filled gut of corn dog pride that they may be passed up.

If Jimbo leaves, his connection with Woodward is stronger than most people thought and for the first time since probably Bear Bryant we lose a coach that we actually wanted to keep. It would reinforce a perception that LSU is a better job. The melt by Aggies will be rivaled only by BCG leaving us for Kentucky.

In 50 words or fewer, tell us why LSU is a better job than A&M. You can actually use more if you like.

Tell everyone, what does LSU do better or have better than A&M.
