This makes the most sense.

'cause OU is not in the East.
Shifting Bama & Auburn makes a ton more sense, geographically.

I like the pod system better. Current scheduling is annoying. You can go years without playing a team. A&M still hasn’t played in Lexington. Add two more teams and it’d be 10 years before you played every team in the SEC with the current scheduling format

Play everyone in your division + 2 in the other division, rotating through all 8 in four years.
Play all the interdivisional games in September, so if a rematch happens in the CG it will still seem fresh.
I could get behind this.

SEC has had 8 conference games for decades......only the Big 12 and PAC have had 9 conference games.....
Is geography important.? Even with no geographical division half the games would be close.....
What do fans want? New opponents mostly likely while preserving true rival games

I doesn’t seem like people respect the East due to continual weak teams. Just seems like the division concept hurts the west as far as only one opportunity for possibly the top 4 teams in conference.
When I suggested OU to the East in order to balance quality and keep the SEC plan , people assumed I was dodging competition. Moving Bama and auburn to east and putting both OU and Texas in west is a huge change for SEC and remakes the conference into something completely different....
Now after feedback I think the best thing is 2 or 3 annual rivals then rotate through the conference without divisions or pods. It keeps the SEC the SEC so to speak, allows the one real thing people want( annual rivals) and gets rid of the issue of a perennially weak division.....
Basically IDC other than I want to keep the best parts of the SEC: the 8 conf games, and the Opportunity to do more or less with the OOC and byes, and the flavor of being south eastern teams without a SW flavor.....could rotate through the entire conference every 2 years without divisions or pods...

Something tells me putting Bama, UGA, and UF in the same division won't happen.

So you'll play yourself then? Think you just did.
Wow incredible how bad some grown adults are at math with numbers under 20.

More often than not we beat Bama when we play them.
Possibly. We have one of the best offensive and defensive coordinators now. After February signing day OU most likely be around top 5 class. Even after the Riley debacle. We’ll be fine. Especially in a couple of years. We’ll win our share.

You either get better or left behind. Like I said, you got work to do.
Haven’t you been paying attention?! We’re doing the work…and quite well. Venables/Lebby are two of the best. No more soft teams. Ain’t that a bitch. Many were hoping with Riley leaving our 2022 recruiting class would destroyed. Sorry Charlie.

OU certainly isn’t. Venables has smacked Bama around before. If OU goes to the SEC in a couple of years we’ll be ready. Won’t take Venables long to deconstruct Speed D for “kick you in the nuts” D.

Agreed. 9 games, no permanent CD rivals. Everyone should be happy

It does NOT matter what the SEC does here, all adding TexASS & Oklahomo does is further water down this cheezy conference with mediocre teams. Listening to Sanky ballwash everyone, you would think the SEC is the NFC South or some sh!t. It's not, trust me.
Wait till they expand the playoffs, and these tropical teams have to go up north and play football in the cold & wind at Big Ten stadiums in December and January...we'll see what you HeeHaw's got then.
No wonder teams like GA and Bama dominate every year, their conference always claims to be some "tough" gauntlet of a schedule, but it's basically filled with AVERAGE teams and creampuff teams who pretend they're good, but really aren't. The SEC at one time was loaded, now it's nothing more than a glorified Sun Belt Conference. Like I've said, lock down your trailers, the Big10 Conference is the new bullies!
As far as this year I would have to agree with you for the most part

Why are the Okies so scared of the SEC? This is a transparent attempt to try to duck out of playing Alabama, and LSU/Auburn on the on years

Looks like divisions are out per Finebaum
I don’t know what pods do for anyone we have 2 rival games RRR and Bedlam so we have RRR in the sec then who are the other 2 ….. I would like Bama and Florida

What do you mean by out? As in publicly available or as in no go?
