it just kind of depends on a few things. heisman status, w/l record, if he gets injured, CFB is a cruel mistress and things can go south quickly. im just going to enjoy it. hes got many reasons to stay at state and with the guys we have in the NFL along with our regular boosters, we may just decide to do something equally stupid and give him whatever his offer is elsewhere. hes got many reasons to stay at state that he himself has given. this is the sick side of college football. if this is his calling and he leaves, thats bad for college football.

He was 100% on the hot seat entering the year. And you can make a case he’s not totally out of the woods if the season somehow falls apart and they only win 5ish games again.
But the strong start seems to suggest this team is good enough change perception of Lebby, for at least as long as Kamario is still on campus.

I think it’s obviously a possibility. Money talks. I don’t necessarily appreciate the media pushing the narrative. Just like you probably didn’t like the media pushing the “Kiffin to wherever” narrative the last couple of years.

This isn't the 80s. Any BIG or SEC program can win and make the playoffs. You will need to overspend to attract a starter.

If State goes 7-5, a lot of money will be thrown at Taylor from other teams. I can see him leaving but I would hope not

He left more money on the table this past offseason. He's just shy of 2 million this year. Turned down 3M+ offers last year.

the big worry is Lebby leaving. It’s taken
him 3 years to get the right personnel
but he can win with them. I could see
FSU, Baylor, or Oklahoma making offers.

Oklahoma is a long term possibility for Lebby, I'll admit that. But I don't see them firing BV this year.
I don't see him making a move this year. I think he and Kamario will ride continuity out until he gets drafted and Lebby will go to a bigger program in 2028.

State has a larger NIL budget than FSU, confirmed by the big NIL report. State has a $35,000,000 roster. Top 25 nationally with room to spare, 4 SEC teams have a cheaper roster. We are not poor

Yeah, I mean that’s fair. I understand the frustration about not wanting to talk about it. The other MSU fan had it right and that it was the same thing with the “Kiffin is going to leave you” stuff.
