The guy has spent three pages doubling down that Kaleb Jackson will be as good as Earl Campbell. I sense that he believes it.
See, he never actually said that either, but in your defense, you're a moron that sees things that don't exist all the time.

side note here. I saw BK say that without a running QB like Daniels we will likely run wide and pull linemen. I dont think we have done much of that since pre Burrow... just something different to look for vs LSU this yr.

Yes, that same #28

All time highest attempts per game avg with over 20 games played was Terrell Davis. He could grind. Earl was a beast, but 13th on the same all tome list . That said, I bet for his era and many more, he was the one RB no defense wanted to play. Recall some quotes from the Steele Curtain defenses saying as much. It was going to take two men to get him down.

No doubt, Earl was a beast. Big fast and powerful. Bigger than Herschel.

When can we expect to see Kaleb Jackson sausage on grocery store shelves?

Kaleb Ka-Bobs coming to a store near you.
Earls' sausage is pretty good. I've had it a few times.

Che Boludo, an Alabama fan with a very sound and reasonable answer. Holy shite, now I know it's the end times.

Yep. I also think Durham will be RB2. Durham runs legit 10.2's.
Williams is getting a ton of carries. JE may as well. KJ is the best back on the team.

Earl Campbell was handed the ball 162 times his true freshman year. Caleb got the ball 31 times (13 times in SEC play). Why isn't LSU handing him the ball like Texas did if he is the second coming of Earl Campbell? Brian Kelly is a world class moron if that is the case.

Nobody runs the ball at that frequency any more. It just ain't gonna happen. Too many head coaches come from the offensive side and they lose patience and gotta air it out. They can't stop themselves.

The dude is a beast - no doubt , but I still think that as long as Josh Williams is healthy, he'll continue to be the starter and get at least half of the carries ..

It's not only that really, but with the frequency of throwing the football now and modern offenses runningbacks have turned into pass blockers and pass catchers which in the far past simply werent that as much.
For true freshmen coming in a lot of them rarely ever had to do either in high school. Some might have caught the ball some, but rarely ever at the rate they will probably see in college. Very rarely do you see a true freshman RB come in though and are able to successfully pass block because its just something so foreign to them from high school they never really got asked to do as the star player back then. Blocking a blitzing corner, safety, linebacker or having to chip a DE going out on a route is something thats typically learned over time for a RB in college, they dont come in ready to block those types of players in those situations.
That's a huge reason for Jackson seeing a lot less action than Williams and Diggs last year. Also Emery and Cain were asked to pass block more than Jackson. It's a skill young RBs pick up over time in college typically and hard to play them a ton knowing how modern offenses work and how often RBs are now tasked with doing things like that.

Usually if a talented freshman rb isn't playing a ton it's because he isn't able to diagnose blitzes or he's just not a good pass blocker

To top 7 SEC RBs in carries ran at least 150 times in 2023 so claiming "Nobody runs the ball at that frequency any more" is a bit inaccurate. That is about half the teams in the conference handing it to one guy about as many times as Campbell got it over 12 games in 1974.
But I get that bell cows are not used as much any longer but 44 running backs in the SEC alone had more carries in 2023 than this second coming of Earl Campbell. I guess OP must think that he was so horrible at picking up blitzes that it completely overshadows his generational NFL HOF talent as a pure runner. That is why he is 44th in carries for SEC RBs?
LSU coaches are so bad couldn't even draw up plays to get this future NFL HOFer on the field where he had no blocking responsibilities or for obvious running situations? Gimme a break.
