I'd have a problem with it if we also did this during private scrimmages. We do 1's v 1's in scrimmages though and that work is what matters. The A day game is pointless if anything.

It lets you see where your 2's stand on both sides of the ball. In practice, most of the time, it's 1's vs. 1's.

Our 1s on offense played our 2s on defense. So Stidham went up against our second string defense. Comparable to your defense.
