Our schedule is BRUTAL, the top two teams from the East (USC and UGA), plus the brutal West and we have to play Bama in Ttown. Saban is great in revenge games (hard to beat twice in a row).

Might be a better team, but Bama has the edge.

I think the Iron Bowl decides the West again when it's all said and done.

But, I could just as easily see Auburn wind up 9-3 at the end of the regular season and the LSU/Alabama winner end up in the ATL.

Every team in the West has some fatal flaw, so it should be a very interesting year.

How any "expert" could pick anyone other than Auburn to win the SEC West is beyond me

It does now but by the time of the Iron Bowl, you will have to defend the deep ball as well

The O won't be as one dimensional this season

I don't know if you're joking or not, but if Alabama had a somewhat decent kicker they would have won the Iron Bowl by double digits. Auburn should have beaten UGA by double digits if they didn't take their foot off the gas, but it isn't like they are the overwhelming favorite. The SEC West should be incredibly competitive next year.

Thanks for keeping LSU in your mentions.

Auburn was so lucky last year. They will lose at least 3 games this year.

They return pretty much everyone.

What makes you think they go from losing one game to losing 3?

Why wouldn't they be even better this year under Malzahn than they were last year?

It's silly to suggest they wouldn't be.

They won't sneak up on anyone. Nick Marshall is causing distractions. They have a tougher schedule. They had to have 3 major lucky breaks last year.

They return pretty much the only important position on the field - their entire offensive line - except for LT. If you can block the scheme, it's basically unstoppable.

Didn't Tre Mason have 164 yards and 1 TD against Bama? He's not coming back. I'm pretty sure it's not typical for a back to do that against Bama. And he put up another 300+ in the SECCG and another 190+ on FSU in the BCSCG with a TD reception as well. They will miss him.

They should be the favorite, but they also won a couple of miracle games. Things have a way of evening out...should be interesting either way.

Yea but if you cant stop the power dive then you cant stop the offense. The point is not to just stop it but with minimal help from Linebackers and extra safety. That way those guys can still account for the speed runs off the edges. That's all I meant by that. Its a fundamental of the type of offense.

What AU of course adds next year is 2 deep threats with the new tall juco WR. I imagine your overall defense will continue to improve, just like last year... as I got that feeling watching a few games here and there. I know you guys will be talented.
