Since the kick 6, Auburn has played 43 games against the Power 5

They are 22-21

When you've played in the SEC West... have UGA as your common East opponent... and have played OOC games against 2013 Florida State, 2014 Kansas State, 2014 Wisconsin, 2015 Louisville, 2016 Clemson, 2016 Oklahoma, 2017 Clemson, and 2018 Washington... I'm actually surprised they are above .500

They could have taken the easy road and played OOC teams like Troy.

Lost 3 of their last 5 games. Is there another team in the top 25 with that bad of a record? I don't get the hype.

2014 San Jose St
2015 San Jose St
2016 Alabama A&M
2017 Mercer

These were also on their schedule. Troy is a much better team than any of the above and I believe proved that once again by beating Nebraska this year. Every SEC team plugs non SEC weeks with cupcakes and at least one quality opponent as well.

2010 (18) North Carolina (22) West Virginia
2011 (3) Oregon
2012 Washington
2013 (20) TCU
2014 (14) Wisconsin
2015 (I'll give you this one) Syracuse
2016 Wisconsin
2017 BYU

LSU ain't the team to call out OOC scheduling on champ. One thing we do well.

He ain't calling you out for who's on your schedule.

He's calling you out for losing to who's on your schedule.

Is that why he listed teams Auburn lost to?

It was an attempted scheduled boom. What makes it even funnier is we beat Auburn the year we lost to Troy

Since 02 we're like 62-2 OOC in the regular season.

Crazy stat until you look at the gauntlet we go through. I mean just look at last year’s playoff.

Bama (Rival we play every year)
Georgia (Rival we play every year including twice last year.
Clemson (We’ve played 5 of the last 8 years)
Oklahoma (Played in the Sugar Bowl in 2016)

Auburn always has brutal schedule, going above .500 isn't really that big of a knock, although it'd be nice to see more wins.

Auburns last 8 games:

quote:

#1 UGA
La Monroe
#1 Alabama
#6 UGA
#12 UCF
#6 Washington
AL State
#12 LSU

It's funny because that's the final score of our game with them.

We've played 8 top 10 teams in the last two years. By comparison, LSU has played 3.

In the time span OP listed, Auburn has played 14 top 10 teams. LSU has played 8.

No one said LSU never plays a tough OOC opponent. But the fact remains that during the time frame set forth in the OP, Auburn has played eight games against opponents OUTSIDE THE SEC WEST who finished in the Final AP Top 6.

... during that same time frame, LSU has played exactly ZERO opponents outside the SEC West that finished in the AP Top 6.

If LSU had faced the same schedule, its pretty much guaranteed they would have fared worse.

Yep. UF has almost an identical record. We've fired two coaches for that record...
