2004 we were a game away and got blown out by eventual national champion UConn.
Knocked off #1 overall seed Stanford and defending national champion Syracuse in that tournament.
Sorry, I'll leave facts out of this. Haven't come close.

I was watching and saying to myself, no way he makes all 3. I thought “wow, Auburn is finally going to do something big in basketball.”

Alabama has participated in 20 NCAA post season tournaments, while Auburn has participated in 10.....one half the number of Alabama. Now Auburn had a good team and good run this year, but pure mathematics (facts) prove Auburn to be one half the basketball program (incl. tradition) that Alabama is...did I mention that Auburn's all-time record against Alabama is 64-91 for a winning % of just .419?

It sucks AU isn't playing tonight, but it's pretty fricking incredible seeing Auburn win a football national championship, and make the Final Four in basketball, all within a decade too.
