too blind to see you are part of the problem of New Orleans as well, by running the city down with your eloquent comments you only keep adding fuel to the fire

LMFAO, yeah I hear you, people like me who provide irrefutable facts are the problem, not the actual problem. Shhhhhh, Shhhhh, if we don't speak or admit the truth, then its not true. People like you are the fricking problem, the city presents this manufactured image to the world of a party/tourist destination, but wants to hide the poverty and suffering. It can't be fixed until a problem is acknowledged. Or the city can keep doing what it does, and not talk about or take any action to correct the problems.

only in NO outside parishes like yours want to be independent of NO entirely, and do nothing but hurl insults, like you.

I'm not hurling insults dude. Is it an insult if it is true? I don't think so.

even though parts of Atlanta is incorporated into their own cities their still part of the metro Atlanta area, same thing in Houston,

We are considered part of the "Metro" area I guess. Never really thought about it. Their are lots of reasons I chose to live in Metairie instead of New Orleans, and I have listed them.
I am really not even sure if I understand what kind of weak point you are trying to make. I think you are saying that if Metairie and Jefferson Parish were a part of New Orleans it would bring all the measurable statistics like crime and poverty up. If so, I'm LMFAO. One thing is for sure, it wouldn't bring them down.

I was never told to drop it, but I suspect that BT was. I showed up, he didn't. I even have a receipt where I was there on the said date and time. I was gonna post it but I evacuated the very next day. Maybe he didn't show because of the hurricane?

that figures dumbass, if you had a brain you would understand government, but your quick to hurl the insults. you would know that those parishes(should be counties like anywhere else in US, only LA has to be different, that's another reason why it suffers) would benefit the city financially by being part of the greater metro NO area as far as tax purposes and such, but no you guys want to be ya'll own entity, it's alright to come into the city and shite all over it and do what ya'll normally do, work, etc. but heaven forbid I support it. I think I'll run it down, "like you" while I live in my nearby parish and support my parish, frick NOLA. that pretty much sums up you and your cronies

I was right on the weak point. You are flat wrong dumbass if you think people in ,for example, Powder Springs GA., tax dollars go to the city of Atlanta. They go to the city of Powder Springs. Once again, you want us to "fix" New Orleans problems.

quote:

but your quick to hurl the insults

Once again, all the things I listed are "FACT". You just don't like them, don't want to talk or admit them, and now it sounds like you want the surrounded Parish and city governments tax dollars, Parish and cities that have local governments doing much better to send there money into the city. Newflash dipshit,,, if New Orleans has got the same city government all the money in the word will not help. Another update for you, most cities that have "Metro" areas, don't get local taxes from the smaller surrounding cities, maybe Houston does, but Atlanta doesn't. Sorry the good people in Jefferson Parish aren't volunteering up their hard earned and spent tax dollars to a city the next Parish over because they can't seem to manage themselves.

Now I understand your weak point, once again its our fault for stating FACTS, which you call insults, but then not wanting our money to go over there and bail them out. LMFAO

once again, hold on you sir are a complete moron, you have no credibility. Powder Springs is part of Cobb County which is part of the Atlanta Metro area, and one of it's richest counties. once again you prove your ignorance over and over, your the fricking one that brought up Atlanta, not me, so don' t get mad assclown because you don't know WTF your talking about. Newsflash- it's not cities that makeup the metro area of a city it's counties or in NO's case parishes.

Your just a assclown that like a lot of others in your surrounding area continue to shite on the city, instead of trying to be a solution to the problem. it's alright for a lot of ya'll to come there to work and make big bucks, or come there to occasionally party and shite all over the place like everyone does, but it's not okay for ya'll to try to contribute in any kind of way, only watch on the outside and continue to hurl stones. your so called FACTS is what's wrong with the big picture today, it's really your warped ignorance, I'll just sit on the outside and enjoy the once great city crumble to the ground and brag about it to everyone, that's you. assclown of the year.

Like I said, half my family is from Louisiana. I work here and married a woman from Lafayette. Don't blame me if you don't like the economic and social facts I state about New Orleans. Why do you people insist on shooting the messengers?

Actually, I think NO and Birmingham have one thing in common that has allowed both metro areas to surpass the city themselves. And I don't see that getting fixed anytime soon in either city. Until you can quit looking back, you won't be able to move forward.

And those counties and parishes have cities in them. I see you just want to split hairs and cry over semantics. Their are very good reason people in Metairie do not want to be incorporated into New Orleans, and I have listed them repeatedly. If New Orleans could ever correct its own problems people in JP would be much more likely to want to be a part of it.

I don't think you really understand what a Metro area is, here's a link

Would be no JP without an N.O. Not literaly, but I do think that generations of "a certain shade of people" running away from the city has been part of the problem.

it's the other way around, you don't know what a metro area is, I just had to break it down to you, now all of a sudden you know, BTW those parishes are part of NO metro by name only, know influence or finacial aid whatsoever.
as a matter of fact Kenner wants the NO airport for itself, talk about segregated greed.
