Yeah that was 100% on Kirby. He rushed 3 and let them play dink and dunk, which tired out our defense and gave them super long possessions with 5 yard pass after 5 yard pass.

Man coverage was the problem (not bend dont break).
We were soft zone and sprinkling in some blitzes with man behind it. The blitzes extended drives and led to the big TD score.
The problem was that we were slow to adjust to zone blitzes (still only rushing 4) and moving the zones behind it. Once we did, we shut them down.
JT had a great coming out party doing what Fromm could never do.

Dude threw for 400+ and 4 touchdowns in his first game back in 15 months. I fail to see how that is a bad thing. UGA defense underperformed, but JTD didn’t.

Well, looks like another year with some disappointing loss or two. I’m not sure any person we ever have at QB will be strong enough to resist Athens and it’s deteriorating impact on their performance
