Personally, I welcome expansion...with the only requirement that each POWER conference matches in size.
I think this makes most sense then if you like expansion.
Because inside this expansion is a regional regional, eight, 8-team divisions that make better sense.

I like it but will miss the first round home games

We could solve some of this by creating a week 0 home & home losers bracket matchup

I like this, but would have the playoffs at 12 with one wildcard team per conference as the divisional play always becomes unbalanced and divisions will ultimately go steps into their tiebreak protocols.
That said, I'm also good with a two round conference championship series (top two from each division play round 1; Conference championship game winners move on to a national 4 team playoff).

So Vanderbilt is now located on the Tennessee River?

Similar? It takes six hours to fly to Newark from Miami? No.
Really? I flew from Ct. to Jacksonville, Florida in under 3.
But my point is they’ve got a huge travel factor to work around.

Thank you. Because that’s how long it takes from CT to CA. Not exactly the same at CT to Miami.

Good luck dividing into 8’s.
*I read your post as in making multiple conferences of 8 teams each.

There aren't 64 teams that are serious enough/can compete in football at the highest level.
The super league will have around 30 teams. Possibly less. To be a member of this group, you're gonna have to add more value to each slice of the payout pie, not lessen each slice.
I would imagine each team in the big league would play one game (most likely the opener), against a syracluse or someone like that from the smaller league of teams.
Those smaller teams can play for their own championship.
These players are all but officially pros now. They always were in fact. They can be expected to play 17-20 games now with no problem.
