Given that absolutely nothing happened in the big menswear caper, propaganda is all you're left with.

Sounds like this was all on his own back alley deals, not boosters or the athletic department.
There was an article at the time that when JFF came home for a visit and his parents had a dining room and a trunk full of memorabilia for him to sign every time. And then the hotel he had a session at had an authenticator present to verify his autograph.

I agree. Every member of the 2012 and 2013 coaching staffs that was involved should be punished as well as their current teams. That means everyone but Terry Price:
Kevin Sumlin
Kliff Kingsbury
Clarence McKinney
Jeff Spavital
BJ Anderson
Brian Poilian
David Beatty
Mark Snyder
Marcel Yates
Mark Wallerstedt
Larry Jackson
Mark Hagan
Jeff Banks

EVERYONE--including the NCAA--knew that Manziel was selling memorabilia. Manziel's family had plenty of money and lawyers, and dared the NCAA to declare him ineligible. The NCAA blinked.
He signed autographs for money for someone not affiliated with anything to do with Texas A&M after his college career was over.

So much for the Aggy honor code...going to have to give back all those trophies the team didn’t win.
Oof

The investigation was over memorabilia that he was paid to sign the summer after he won the Heisman--between the 2012 and 2013 season.

Love the retiree ID card. Now if I could just get DEERS to re-instate my eligibility for TRICARE so I can enroll as a retiree life would be good.

Dye didn't survive because the PTB were a bunch of pussies and felt Dye was slipping and used it as an excuse to make a change.
Nothing happened in the T-Town Menswear issue because the NCAA knew it was going on at a lot of places and didn't want to draw attention to the issue. NIL is only going to level the playing field and the NCAA knows it now. That is why they are not fighting it.
Keep saying there is nothing to see and watch who believes you.

No.
The only way it could come back to hurt A&M is if he says something like "The coaches knew all about it" and other things that show a LOIC.
It's amazing to me how many people harp on about these things and yet at the same time are really clueless on how it works.

You were paying recruits to enroll. That is cheating and Ole Miss got off pretty light.

30k for 10,000 signatures? 3 dollars each? I’m sure whoever sold that merchandise made a fortune

Is it plausible that some wealthy Texas A&M "boosters" were paying for his autograph for their kids, or maybe some for themselves so they can put it in their office to impress co-workers.
