He never said he regretted it. It was a known fact that he grew up a huge VY and sip fan. They never offered…we did and the rest is history.

It would be cool to see Texas extend some sort of honorary welcome to Johnny, might help him out.
I feel terrible for the guy.
Such a crazy downfall. Seemed like he was a very disciplined kid before he arrived in College Station.

He wouldn't have shined as much at Texas than he did at A&M. A&M gave him the platform necessary for him to be a star

I thought the whole having a 4th stringer pee in a cup for Johnny football was a bigger story. Coaches knew and endorsed his out of control behavior.

People say this as if every school in the SEC wouldn’t have done the same thing for their Heisman quarterback

The “Homo” on the stadium is a nice touch, lol.

Can you imagine the train wreck he’d have been in Austin if he was out of control in College Station? Good Lord! Full on junky!

I think LSU fans are so easily swallowing this misinformation because the greatest quarterback in their history considers himself a Buckeye. If making up stuff like this helps ease that pain, we will let you play act.
This right here is when you know OP slightly tapped a nerve.
Hubris
Intellectual dishonesty
And a lil bit of projection.
I love this bar.

Haven't seen it but if he really said that then he's a douche

So it’s just a made up quote?
Yes. It starts out talking about how he grew up a Texas fan but they never offered him, so he went to A&M. But it doesn't paint Manziel or the A&M coaching staff in a favorable light.

Interesting read if you really want a hint of the families background.. Johnny jumball actually is one of the more respectable members..
The article is just the tip of the iceberg..
I actually hope he embraces his “legends” and his bar works out.. gotta keep his uncles out of the back with their packages.

Y'all keep throwing this out there like it means something. Do a little research. He got pulled over that night from CS PD and was mad about it. A&M is not even mentioned in the tweet. He must not have been that upset. He played another full season.
Google can be your friend and keep you from looking completely stupid.
It is amazing how far some of you go to twist meaningless shite into something you think has meaning. Sideways tiger is the king of meaningless shite.

Well second choice worked out for Burrow also. Both got a Heisman in college.

It isn't my fault that your GOAT player hated College Station and was only there because the "Sips" didn't offer him.

Yeah, a made up quote is not a big gotcha when it’s proven to be pure fantasy within minutes….
Not offering Manziel is just poor talent evaluation by the horns.
Mack Brown got lazy in recruiting during the last handful of years, and his tenure in Austin ended with a thud.
I don’t expect the documentary to paint everyone in a positive light…
