He would funnel the money out of OLOL, and they would keep a portion of it and give the rest back. As a booster, he had access to the parents. These parents are sometimes very poor and hard off, so that is the perfect type of people to scheme with here
There are far more peoples names to come out, some athletes and some not. This was a laundering scheme, not so much a recruiting scheme. But troll away

They scream and post all day about other people programs on their white high horse. The moment someone is associated with their university is caught nothing to see here. This is why I dont pretend my shite dont stink. I have zero doubt that players at every school are getting money from agents. I dont think that the schools themselves are paying money. Just too much at risk to do that today.

My only point is that it's hard to believe the mother/sister of an NFL player and 2 time SB winner from the Patriots mom/sis were so poor that they'd result to a money laundering scheme in order to make ends meet.

4 seasons in the nfl, and then 7 in arena in europe. He aint rich at all. Not even close. He is selling concrete in BR now

Funes simply diverted the funds from helping families dealing with cancer patients to Davey's needy family. The bottom line is he was helping people in need which is a good thing.

Dude was taking the majority of the money himself. He just needed to find people willing to go in on it with him. A wealthy person aint going to take only 30-40% They are going to want half.....

I tend to agree.
I mean, I doubt this dick stole from sick cancer patients to boost a team. He did it to steal for himself. However, it is definitely not a good look that he used family members of players.
I read up to 20 years per count -- so I hope he gets the max.

I hope he doesn’t. From what I’ve seen so far of this story I think he deserves hard jail time. And to never be in control of a companies finances ever again.
