The only time I've seen Dillon Gordon smile is when he was blatantly laughing at Myles Garrett.

Too bad his system puts no pressure on the QB. Garrett had 1 sack vs LSU, Bama, Auburn, Arkansas and Ole Miss... but good luck. Not to mention he got absolutely abused by Collins, Alexander and Gordon

I just think LSU will continue to be better, as we have better players and will continue to get better players.

Our defensive line is more talented than LSU's.

Look, not to rain on your parade, but what do you expect him to say? Coach speak in August is just that. Coach speak in August. I'm sure the guys are talented and well coached, but your drooling over this comment is a little premature.

Here's to a good, injury free season

Yeah his D is always good when he has good DE's. LSU fans say he won't do well but that is not true. He's a good upgrade in College Station

Not one LSU fan has said that. We've simply pointed out his ineffectiveness to generate a pass rush, complete disregard for recruiting and developing LB's, and mental collapses with his 2 minute Mustang package.

We expect him to be honest.

Did he say this kind of stuff all the time as an LSU coach or something?

Fwiw my thread was geared towards learning if anyone besides the rb switched positions.

Stuff like safety to lb, lb to de, de to dt

. Why on earth could yall not recruit some talent for Chavis to work with?

Bc Chavis was too busy shuffling up to the Shoney's Buffett than hitting the recruiting trail.

Did he praise players in August right before the season?

Uh, yes

I think he will improve their D

But I also don't think he has much time left coaching and will hang it up after this contract

I assume LSU is setting O up to be out eventual DC, which is a nice feeling

And that the Raymond guy was responsible for his success the whole time.

And that Chavis directly lost ever major game y'all lost recently.

And that Chavis is crazy for going to a team that doesn't respect TOP.

And that Chavis is halfway retired and we are his golden parachute.

And probably some talking points I am forgetting. It is hard to remember them all as y'all have been cranking them out all off season.

Josh Boutte will bulldoze that entire line by himself.

Some of those are a little stretched, by you. But overall pretty accurate and factual. Good post

I was coming to post this. He said almost the exact same thing about Hunter, Rasco, and Herron prior to 2014, I believe.

Hunter and Rascoe proceeded to combine for about 5 sacks and Frank Herron hardly saw time.
