Since everyone is so concerned about the downfall of the NCAA, here's the link to listen to the Aguilar injunction hearing in state court in Tennessee.

NCAA will have to depend on Congress to act to save their existence which is hilarious.

That’s like asking a man with no arms or legs to save you from drowning.

That, or get the players to unionize so a collective bargaining agreement can be reached. Both seem pretty unlikely to happen tbh.

Government

Now THAT will destroy football as we know it. They will treat Alabama State like they are on the same level as Alabama. They will apply the same shite across the board for all of the shitty women's sports out there, pretending that they are HUGE wastes of money.

We have baseball today. No need for that distraction now.

It's already been destroyed without it.

Wasn't Garrett Nussmeier a 24 year old RS Senior last year?

the only 6 year guys would have been COVID super seniors, and I'm actually not sure if we had any of those this year. We've had guys who used to be in the program transfer elsewhere and get 6th years (TJ Finley and John Emery for example) 2025 should have been the last year we have to deal with people having the COVID year as a free year

But no. Nussmeier's first year at LSU was in 2021. He played in 4 games and took a normal redshirt year. He then played in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. he actually took a lot of criticism in 2021 for not playing in the bowl game which, at the time, would have burned his redshirt. The NCAA changed the rule the following season to not count bowl games against players' 4 game max for redshirt seasons.

Aguilar's argument is even dumber than Chambliss'

1 year of football at JUCO in 2019 (yes 2019), he redshirted
2020 his JUCO didn't have a season
2021 Diablo Valley JUCO
2022 Diablo Valley JUCo
2023 App ST
2024 App St
2025 Tennessee

So he's asking to be an 8th year senior with no medical issues being the reason. He's actually been a starter on a football team 5 seasons already

Every team in the country had 6th year players because of Covid.

Let’s not pretend like that should make it the norm going forward.
