Let me remind you about why LF7 got that "treatment" in that 2015 showdown.
LF7 = 19 rushes, 31 yards
Derrick Henry = 38 rushes, 210 yards
Yeah, who can forget Henry running against LF7.
These head to head statistics are juvenile. Henry dominated against the LSU defense, not against LF7.

It's about time to give it to someone other than a QB, and Chase Young is the best player in the country on the best team in the country right now. 4 sacks and a FF in the biggest game of the year? He's still not getting enough credit.
The problem is that Ohio State would still be 8-0 if Chase Young was never born.

Chase Young isn't even the nation's leader in sacks. I agree he's a Bosa like freak though.
UMM Yes he is

Any other time I would agree to this, but screw that in a year where an LSU QB has a chance to win it. Haha.
Not only could this be a huge thing for Burrow, it would equally be huge for LSU and future recruits at that position.

quote:Why bc he's on a team with other top players? He has a better shot at a NC than Burrow or Tua. Hell Tua's on the bench and Burrow played 1 defense and was on par with about 4 out of the other 7 QB that played the same defense.
Fields shouldnt be anywhere on a list with Burrow/Tua/Hurts/Young

I would pick and vote for Burrow right now..... A quarterback always wins the Heisman nowadays but let's weigh in this info... Chase Young is 20/1. he is on a historic pace to possibly break the modern day sack record of 24. Would he be seriously considered if that came to fruition.

Young make plays that are humanly impossibly, like being tripled-teamed 9chipped) and still making the sack in 3 seconds.

I'd be the exact same way. Can't blame you.

Biggest game of the year? Nah. Wisconsin just lost to 4-4 Illinois. Penn St and Michigan will be tests. Then the Big-10 championship game.
If LSU wins vs Bama, the Heisman is over. If not, Young has a shot.

It was their biggest game of the year. Burrow needs to play excellent football in a win v Bama, and it'll be pretty much wrapped up.

LSU's offense was so predictable and outdated, that no running back inserted into LSU's offense would have succeeded in that game against Alabama. There's a reason many of us wanted Miles gone from LSU, and the rest of the SEC wanted him to stay at LSU.

Curious if a loss to Alabama in Tuscaloosa earns him the LF7 treatment.
The loss didn't garner the treatment, Fournette's inept play earned him that honor.

Not dispositive, but interesting nonetheless: Charlie Ward (1993) was the last player to miss a game in the season they won the Heisman. Long time ago.
1993 we still had 11 regular season games. winner of LSU/Bama will have 12 + SECCG. one of the two going undefeated will win the Heisman.

I am still not used to this. LSU with a great QB is hard to get used to
I am enjoying it though

LF did not play well and Henry did, is how that race got flipped in one game. However, I think this is all setting Tua up. If Bama wins, the media will tout Tua as the comeback kid. The winner of this game should be the front runner. If Joe plays well and loses like Hurts did, he is still in it, like Hurts is, but he will behind Tua again.

If Alabama gives him the LF7 treatment, and if Tua balls out, then yeah, he's toast. It's over.

Your OL was hot garbage also, at least against the Alabama defense.
