I'm not sold on him. I think Dabo might be a better fit, though his style is the opposite of Saban and it would be a tough transition if he comes.
Lets see where FSU goes from here. He may be right back up there next year, or he may be another Gene Chizik.

I had an LSU fan text me this morning about an SDS story that Jimbo and LSU negotiated over the past couple of weeks before the big NOPE. She somehow thought that this salvaged LSU's reputation since they actually talked instead of LSU looking longingly/stalking Jimbo from a distance.
The bottom line is this: LSU will never have Jimbo. Ever. He's the unobtainable for you. He's been there, and he had the chance to return, but didn't. You're the same ole gal he left: entitled, whiny and smelly.
Fortunately, in spite of yourselves, you have a man that loves you and wants to be with you. However, you went behind his back to try to sneak another man in the house and it didn't work. Les will make you pay one day, and pay you will. When he takes LSU to the playoffs in the next 2-3 years, be prepared to open up the checkbook.

The statement is still true. The TAF was willing to pay the buyout and everything else. Politics interfered.

Meh, Jimbo will find a way to lose games he shouldn't no matter where he is. The SEC West would eat him alive. LSU built the man up to be a god over the past month when in all likelyhood we would want him fired too after three years.
