Steve Emsfinger was the Joe Biden of LSU's 2019 offensive staff.
So you're saying a guy with no prior offensive coaching experience built the greatest college football offense ever all by himself in one offseason?
Dude must be Vince Lombardi incarnate.

Because the pro style offense is antiquated, and jimbos version of it is no different. Ask yourself, what elite offense can you think of that still run that style? When everyone else was spreading it out, a&m went to packing it back in

but LSU tried to hire Jimbo Fisher
He would have fared well at LSU because its LSU, not The Farce.

We were good enough to put 74 NCAA record on you.

From an A&M perspective, there were several issues.
The offensive line was bad. Sumlin recruited the O-Line terribly his last several years, which resulted in A&M’s junior and senior offensive lineman just not being very talented.
Mond wasn’t consistent, which got even worse when he had no protection.
A&M’s receiving corp wasn’t explosive and was extremely inconsistent, and due to injuries and transfers A&M was down to one running back, a freshman.
The offensive line’s performance will determine how successful A&M’s season is. If they stay healthy, and make a jump in year 2 with our O-Line coach, this will be a good team. If not, we win 6-7 games.

why was LSU's offense mediocre for 100 years before Joe Brady came?
Isn’t that the point though? Brady comes in and in one year completely reinvents the offense. Jimbo is a supposed offensive genius and QB whisperer yet 2 years with Mond and he’s average at best

I will say Jimbo has bagged it after a few more years of him playing his own recruits.
He managed to field a pretty explosive offense two years ago. A&M was 4th in the conference in total offense while LSU was 9th.
Last year he lost a great RB in Travyeon Williams, the line fell apart, Mond was inconsistent, and our productive receivers were injured.
At least at WR and TE we should be able to field excellent talent. Dylan Wright, Baylor Cupp, Demond Demas, and Moose Muhammad were all extremely touted prospects.
If we have a repeat of the Georgia game where the O Line can't produce positive rushing yards then we are fricked no matter what.

Jimbo hasn’t developed a QB or a functional OL since Jameis was stealing crab legs in Tallahassee.
Give him both and he will have them rolling.
Until then you will continue to get what you’ve seen over the last few years.

It’s antiquated, he sets his QB’s up to fail. And that’s a fact.

A1abana has to defend A&N because they are equally irrelevant. Both are paying coaches $7.5M+ per year to not make NY6 bowls

why still mediocre
Because he doesnt have this.... it was all Jameis, Jimbo was just there for the ride

His offensive philosophy doesn’t give him a chance in today’s world of college football. We know better than anyone that you have to adapt or get left behind. When I watched A&M the last 2 years, offensive line play has been sub par and Mond is very inconsistent. Jimbo seemed to struggle with offensive line development going back to FSU. Having Dalvin Cook and Jameis masked a lot of deficiencies.

Yea we all know......y’all got the t-shirts to prove it!! LOL!
Imagine a program paying a HC 10M a year & this being the ONLY highlight of his tenure!!

And as I said, they begin and end with your mental and physical toughness. A&M is a soft program and while Jimbo Fisher is a good offensive coach he is not good enough to change that.
