I guess we'll see - coming from a team who lost a LOT more on defense than A&M did - scary thought, when you think about Manziel coming into his own in his 2nd year.
It's going to be a sad day in Death Valley for the home team Amigo when the Ags' get their revenge this year.

He is flirting a fine line where he is, just hope he doesn't lose his marbles and wind up at Jackson State or something. He's loaded with talent but he's also loaded with baggage as well.He could go undefeated next year and he could have a melt down and lose every major game next year.

And Aggies aren't condoning it, just recognizing that it happens all the time and is a non-issue just like it is everywhere else.
Sumlin speaks and says A&M enablers are wrong - "players punching coaches doesn't happen all of the time."

JFF is distracted. All the lebron and henderson tweets, plus the parties have gone to his noggin.

The language I put in quotes is a direct quote from Coach Sumlin - read the linked story.

Apparently you're the one who needs to read again.

I'm sorry - was that not a direct quote from your coach?
He first says "things happen all the time in football" then the writer says something to the effect of "things like that?" and the coach responds: "no, players punching coaches does not happen all the time."

So now it's a punch when everything else says it's a shove?
Sumlin's response.
You clearly haven't watched any Kevin Sumlin press conference. He is well known for trolling the media.

I asked Sumlin about sophomore quarterback Johnny Manziel shoving a graduate assistant during the scrimmage
Sumlin's response.

“(Well), no, we don’t have coaches going around punching players and players punching coaches,” Sumlin said, chuckling. “That doesn’t happen all of the time.”

Tragic story from goodbullhunting.com:
Kyle T. Baker
COLLEGE STATION – Kyle Baker, graduate assistant for football at Texas A&M University, died suddenly on Saturday at the age of 26. Kyle was best known for receiving a playful but deadly shove from quarterback Johnny Manziel during a scrimmage. Manziel passed for 253 yards and ran for 92 more in a 29-24 win over the Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa last November. Kyle, a Kinesiology graduate, was the namesake of the stadium where he was murdered according to his pawpaw, Charles Baker. "I can’t wait to see what Johnny does to Saban and those sumbitches this year," he added.
A report by the Sheriff-Coroner’s office indicated that Kyle suffered two massive bruises to his torso. The coroner noted that "Manziel’s size 10 ¼ hands help make up for his height but we’d like to see him make ball security a priority in 2013." Kyle enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his friends. Manziel, who is now reportedly dating Mr. Baker’s longtime girlfriend, recently spent Spring Break in Cabo San Lucas where he was photographed with a fake Longhorn tattoo.
Head Coach Kevin Sumlin commented that Kyle had a "great spirit" and that the Aggies will need to find a replacement graduate assistant "urgently." A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 27th at Reed Arena where visitors will be allowed to pose for photographs with Johnny Manziel’s Heisman trophy. "It’s the least I can do," said Manziel as he pretended to rip his shirt open. Manziel will be unable to attend the service in person but has promised to watch an online stream.
In lieu of flowers, the Baker family asks that you contribute to the 12th Man Foundation.

Nice distortion.
He made that comment, yes. But he also said the shoving incident--which included no punch--is a non-story.
