I feel bad for melvin gordon that he's going to lose to some guy who is clearly not even close to his talent level. It really shouldn't even be a debate.
If it goes to a qb this year the award is even more bullshite than we already say.

Mariota and it's not close
Has better arm, faster, makes better plays, just as "electric", and like JFF he's a winner on the field.

Im actually surprised by the bias in most of these responses. Mariota>JFF. Bigger, faster, better arm, makes better decisions, and doesn't have a 6'5" 230b monstrosity to close his eyes and throw a jump ball to.

Didn't JFF not end up in Oregon b/c of Marriota? Marriota has a chance to win something meaningful and isn't a piece of shite, so he gets my vote.

One of these has actually won and deserved the heisman....while the other was a canidate. One of these set record books on fire as a RS freshman. One of these played week end and week out against elite talent. Johnny and it's not even close.

Nice try but johnny switched when he got an offer from A&M.

Mariota, JFF looked for the scramble so much and would toss them up there across the field a lot and against the grain. Both similar talents, but give me the more reliable one.
- to be fair I don't watch a lot of Oregon ball so Mariota could do the same thing, but he seems pretty solid

lol... lsu alone put more defensive players in the NFL that those teams combined last year. gtf outta here, take that weak shite to the yankee/pac12/frickoff board. thanks, mgmt
This was easy. (Just NFL Draft). But heck, it's easier to play defense in the SEC, so no question they are going to have more folks in the NFL.
Stanford:
2014 2 47 Trent Murphy DE Washington Redskins
2014 5 162 Ed Reynolds DB Philadelphia Eagles
2014 6 204 Tyler Gaffney RB Carolina Panthers
2014 7 231 Ben Gardner DE Dallas Cowboys
LSU:
2014 2 51 Ego Ferguson DT Chicago Bears
2014 5 156 Lamin Barrow LB Denver Broncos

It's Mariota for me. He's built the part and plays much more in control than JFF. Good arm, good speed, and doesn't make many mistakes. Sign me up.
JFF is perhaps the best bullshite artist I have ever seen (I mean that in the best possible way jizzjars). He's about as reckless as Favre with more athletic ability. He plays out of control, but he's one of those guys that it helps you far more often than it hurts you.

The answer is really simple. Who is/was more valuable to their team?
Oregon pre-mariota: 12-2, Pac 12 and rose bowl champs.
Texas A&M pre-jff: 7-6, coach fired.

Manziel is the football version of Manu Ginobili in his prime.

Statistically, yes he did.

No stop that
JFF is Rodman more than Gnobli
Leads in big categories helps you win but the outside stuff just makes you think really? And he then parlays it to make it worse just because he rubs people nose in it at all chances and costs.

Nope. Talmbout style of play.
Manziel was a master of chaos and at his best when the play seemed out of control.
Same m.o. for Manu. Pop goes from wanting to trade him on the spot to wanting to make him breakfast the next day
