So he is bragging about losing a title game? Or is he bragging about being the only team among those 4 teams not to actually successfully win one? Good point?

Yeah really weird flex. Remember that one year we made the playoffs and lost? Sounds like a top 5 program to me

My point is there is a huge disparity in college football and to argue UGA isn’t a top program just makes y’all look like retards. Congrats LSU fan, you have an incredibly talent rich state and a once in a generation QB last year. You’re still an inbred retard who can’t contemplate complex thoughts. Arguing we aren’t one of the best teams in the country the last 4 years is stupid. But y’all obviously are so what is the point of arguing this?

They're a very good program but they're not nearly the program a lot of UGA fans think they are. To call yourself a top 5 program, even currently, you have to have a somewhat recent national title. Until UGA does that, you just can't say they are a top 5 program without people laughing at you.

LSU has won 3 national titles in the last 16 years. Only Alabama has done better than that. And FHO with the talent rich state. Georgia has more natural advantages than anyone in the country in that regard.

I said UGA isn't a top 5 program. They're not.

My whole point was that UGA fans consider themselves among the elite despite their lack of hardware to back it up. And dude is tripping over himself trying to prove my point for me.

Only 4 have won a playoff national title, so how does this make sense to you? UGA having a playoff game win makes UGA an obvious choice for next in line at #5.

But its a bad point because college football analysts and voters share the same opinion of UGA. To make it seem like its just UGA homers who think UGA is good is just poor trolling.

LSU is arguably the best school in the 21st century outside of Bama bro, that’s good for you. The point still stands that we are a top tier program and it doesn’t look like we are slowing down despite Tennessee fans clearly taking the Off Season Chanpionshiop again

I’ll break it down for you guys. A recruiting cycle is 4 years. In the past 4 years we have the 4th best record in the country and our top 5 in ranked wins. Our recruiting classes are averaging top 3 and we aren’t going anywhere. Kirby has made some clown decisions in his first 4 years coaching and we still have that record.

Please enlighten me who has a better program in the last 4 years other than LSU, Ohio State, Bama, or Clemson? If you can’t - that would make us a top 5 program.

If UGA isn't top 5 then who is? 36 wins in 3 years is chump change now

I like you, Mithridates6. Not only do you post facts, but you’ve got get-up-and-go.

You haven’t beaten any of those teams since at least 2014 and they have all won national championships within the past 3 years. You illustrated exactly what I said, comparing yourselves to the elite while having accomplished nothing relative to them. Good on you for someNY6 bowls though, those were super cool in the BCS era. And a runner up finish! Good on on you.

There’s a top tier of Bama, Clemson, and you can argue LSU is there because of the Natty.

Ohio St, OU, and Georgia are in the next tier.

I'll break it down for you. A 3 year run doesn't elevate your entire program into the top 5 in all of college football.

That is, Unless it’s a comparison of the last 3 seasons.

Well that's not what is being discussed between myself and whoever else. I argued against the simple statement that UGA was a top 5 program (they're not). But if you need to move the goalposts to give his statement merit, then by all means.

I mean are we really putting Georgia and Ohio State in the same tier?

Really?

How do they compare over the last 3 seasons? That’s specifically what we have been discussing though some forgot.

Ohio State has more draft picks, more conference titles, more major bowl victories, and took a future Heisman QB away from Georgia.

How do they compare iyo

Talking about on the field:

Overall wins: Osu 38, uga 36
Playoff wins: uga 1, Osu 0
Uga Ranks: 2,7,4
Osu ranks: 5,3,3

Not quite as big of a difference as you thought, is it? Damn shame we never get to play them when we have comparable teams. This goes back to 02,07,12......

Fields wouldn't be a Heisman contender at UGA either. Easy to look good running a gimmick offense against massively overmatched Rutgers, Indiana, Maryland, etc.

Last 3 years though.

Wonder if Ohio State would’ve lost by 21 in Knoxville in 07, or by 28 in Columbia. Maybe there’s a reason Georgia never gets the opportunity to play them idk
