I’ll take it but does this mean JPW is assigned to the Vols hype machine?

He’s no Klatt and tOSU.

A class with 2/3rds 3 stars. That’s the ticket to success for sure. Before you know it, Tennessee will be beating teams like Georgia State easily.

What have all of those 4 and 5 stars done for Georgia?

Georgia should be scared because they lost PitBoss. They will be worse than Arkansas this year.

It is probably good cause to be scared of someone who doesn't know what asparagus is.

3 SEC titles since Tennessee’s last one and 3 straight blowout wins over the school we send our dumb kids from Dalton to.

Georgia isn’t the national standard for college football, but the team that gets curb stomped every year by Georgia isn’t about to be the national standard either.

Pruitt at UT is an unknown at this point, but certainly promising.

UGA with Smart has already reached its ceiling: not winning a national championship. The coaching has actually regressed imo

Agreed. The close losses to BYU and Georgia State were encouraging, but the blowout losses to Georgia and Florida were truly promising.

Jeremy Pruitt is easily the best SEC coach in history*

Pruitt had a very tough rebuild. The culture was terrible, as was the talent and depth. Tennessee started terribly, but then they hit their stride and have one of the longest win streaks in the nation.

Smart inherited a very good roster. Since his 2nd year, when he still had elite Richt players, UGA has been less and less impressive.

All the former Bama players that are asked attest my point.

Pruitt is a better defensive mind than Smart.

I agree that Pruitt deserves credit for his team not quitting after the rough start, but surely you can see how this
quote:

is absolute horse shite. UGA beat more ranked teams last season than Tennessee has over the past 8 seasons.

Yes Pruitt inherited a worse program, but Georgia has averaged 12 wins per year over the past 3 seasons. I don’t care how bad Butch messed things up, you can’t seriously argue Pruitt has shown more so far.

I’m not saying he’s garbage, but when he goes 7-5 this year will we still have to be making these bold claims about “future potential”?

At a certain point you need to, you know, win some games.
