Because of losses. Passing stats are equal to or better than Penix and he has over 500 more rushing yards..

How many times were you screaming for Nuss to play after FSU?

Tim Tebow, Manziel, Lamar Jackson, RGIII, etc. Jayden Daniels is the best player in football. Couldn't care less about losses, and I doubt he even gets invited to New York, which would be complete bull shite.

Washington’s signature win over Oregon really helped Penix. Daniels should be up there if he has a good game vs. Alabama and LSU wins.

Tebow won the Heisman in 2007, the year Florida went 9-4. It was the worst win/loss record of his college career.

had he played better you might not have 1 of those losses so seems fair

The Heisman voters rarely ignore stats. But wins are also very important. Leading your team to the playoff takes highly important well timed plays that don't show up in stats.

Bo Nix won that game if the kicker doesn’t miss the game winner.

I think if Jayden Daniels wins out and especially wins an SECCG even if LSU does not make the playoffs that is a lock for Heisman imo

The second half against Florida st will be a tough hill to climb but that was more of a team implosion

He’ll be a finalist at least. Who knows what happens between now and December

This is why I laugh at Bama fans that somehow can see the future and tell everyone that Milroe will always be bad(he's not bad now but you get my point).

Milroe has only started 6 or 7 games. Daniels has started around 50 games. Experience is everything.

Last year and early this year LSU fans all wanted Nuss and claimed Daniels couldn't throw for shite. Now he's a Heisman contender.

Funny how things work.

Milroe could still implode down the road and trust me...he scares the shite out of me...but you can't write guys off.

I remember when Bennett and Burrow were jokes. Trash. Then they turned into elite CFB QBs.

Well we know there's at least one touchdown in there that shouldn't count.

We will have to see how the numbers shake out he will need to win some big games as well. It’s a leadership trophy too.

And Daniels had his struggles last year. I always use the Jason Campbell example as well. The light bulb comes on for different players at different times, especially quarterbacks.
