He had the highest qb rating of any power conference qb his final season.

Passing stats in general were not eye popping in the 2000s unless you were on an air raid team.

Go back and look at Eli Manning. His best year was 3600 yards, 29 TD, 10INT throwing it 441 times...passer rating of just 148.1. Russell had a 167 passer rating hisfinal season.
