So in other words you don't need a court of law to declare you guilty to get kicked off the team?
Actually breaking some kind of rule helps.

Of course not. But this is a court of law case. Quite literally. Mathieu's case was an NCAA case. Can you not see the difference?
I've got to get some work done, so yall can carry on. I'll check in later.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here. Are you saying Miles should punish him somehow even if he's proven innocent?
and provide another example of someone. Ryan Perilloux comes to mind for me. But that's a blatant example where he even admitted to the fake ID deal.
I think you are having too many conversations here and having a hard time following. You ask me if I believe a person is innocent till found guilty. I respond yes and you asked "If he is proven innocent, would you have any negative sentiments towards Miles and staff for allowing him to play?" and I pointed out that his status on the team has nothing to do with a court of law and that even Miles has not waited till a player had his day in court to kick them off the team. In other words...my point is that "innocent till proven guilty" is for the courts. I can speculate all I want on the case. I don't have a responsibility to give him the benefit of the doubt like a court does

Only an LSU player getting arrested would be 34 pages into the OP and 2nd at the top of the board
The LSU fans dish it out the most when another team's player gets arrested. What did you expect?

I think everyone should show decorum and respect for ALL involved (including the alleged victim and Mills) until all the facts come out.

And what do you expect on a site made up of a much larger portion of LSU fans? Every fan base is guilty of piling on. It's what anonymous message boards were made for I think.

Exactly. There is some info coming out that Mills may have been covering for his girlfriend. I am trying to remain skeptical despite my inclination to believe pro-LSU info. However, I think this illustrates the point that we can't be sure what happened. Condemnation of Mills, his gf, or the victim may be premature at this time.

I just heard this guy may be kicked off the team, so I figured it was for failed drug test. Sucker punching is acceptable. I am not putting LSU down just taking up for the Badger, He never did anything to defend oops offend Bama.

If he had multiple witnesses backing him up he should have just talked to the cops (gasp!) and he could've probably avoided jail time and attorney fees.

Not only that, but his witnesses and stand up girlfriend only came forward after the charges and arrest. If I were innocent, I would want my story out there right away. He may not have exactly done this, but he did something illegal or he would have stepped up to clear his name. Only it's even more weird now since all these people would have bent over backwards to help the kid to start with.
This has already been covered multiple times, but his lawyer probably advised him not to talk to the police.
Never tell police anything......they're not your friends.

your opinion is still clearly at the top of the OP, and that is not the latest news.
The only thing that is opinion in the OP, is.. uh oh. The rest of it is undisputed fact. He was arrested for 2nd Degree Battery.

that is not the latest news
Then please provide a link to what is the latest news and I will be happy to update it.
If you'll pay attention, you will notice I haven't said one derogatory thing in this entire thread, nor have I given an opinion on the situation one way or the other, outside of the uh oh comment.
