I don't think he deserves it but I can't think of anyone who deserves it more.

He gets a lot of negativity on here for an undefeated true freshman with 3500 yards and 33 TDs.

if we are to take team wins out of the equation, I think Josh Dobbs had a slightly better season, although we're really splitting hairs. Very down year for individual offensive production this season. Really wasn't anyone that separated themselves

Congratulations to Jalen Hurts, I reckon. despite the fact that as a QB, he doesn't make a pimple on the arse of Chad Kelly, that crimson jersey hides a lot of flaws.

Considering that I've never seen him show any emotion about anything whatsoever, I think he'll be ok. Seems pretty grounded to me.

Rest of SEC teams ought to be embarrassed - they let Alabama just take everything from them. A true freshman QB that didn't even start the season taking the offensive player of the year? Are your teams even trying any more?

Jalen you just threw two picks and fumbled twice almost costing your team the game in what should have been an easy win - how do you feel about your performance?

That's my biggest concern about him winning any post season awards. But he seems to have the type of personality, that he might be able to handle the hype.
