Philly paid him that well cause they don’t want to lose their next Donovan McNabb btw and he’s a fantastic media rep. Just by the latter alone I’m sure it provided extra incentive.

Yep good for him, but that is crazy imo. I am a big fan of Hurts though, so very happy for him.

It’s the way the market is going. And he’s the prototype of what the modern NFL is looking for. His leadership, character, football IQ & running are off the charts.
I don’t blame the Ravens for not pushing their chips all in on Lamar. But, now that Hurts has developed so much as a passer, you pay this guy.

Yep. And that QB has to be able to elevate the guys around him, make every throw & make off-script plays outside the pocket. The Niners are the only exception at the moment.
