cocky sumabitch
thats like James Franklin coming out now and saying I'm definitely leaving a couple years from now when I get offered a better gig. Yes we all know vandy probably isn't his dream destination, and will probably leave when he gets offered, but why put that out there and piss everyone off

He's afraid of Dial clocking him while he's defenseless.

Just stating the obvious IMO.

IMO, he's the best pass rusher in CFB. He needs to play a little more disciplined. If he'd come to Bama he'd be playing for an NC and be better developed. And we need a better pass rush. Good luck to him in the draft but a lot of things can happen in 1 yr of CFB.

Good for him. That guy is more than ready to play in the NFL. Guy was born to play De and terrorize QBs.
I can guarantee you Jeff Driskel wont be complaining if he leaves early.
Hopefully he has a great season next year (not against UF though)

He just put a statement in the locker room of everybody USCe plays next year. Looking at the statement will be OL, Te's, blocking backs....
he said, "Who's gonna stop me?" Some of those guys are pretty good, too.

Uh.. Only LSU stopped him this year.

He is just stating the obvious. His lively hood is based on his athletic ability. We all agree that if he can get paid, he should. You just want him not to say so. Either He thought this through and decided to announce it or he didn't think it through and still decided to announce it. Either way, we all already knew or at least should have known that he was probably going to leave.

Which means it CAN be done, especially given motivation. Motivation like the guy says he can't be stopped.

I just don't get it. It is the truth. ALL of us KNOW its the truth...but, he can't SAY the truth?
I'm with BHP on this one.

If he keeps talking this way no doubt some people will be gunning for him. Not saying it's right but it's the truth.

To be fair, this game was before Mett put it together in the passing game.
I believe he was something like 12-25 for about 150 yds in the USC game. And, most of the throws at that time were very quick reads and 3-Step drops. Its not as though he was handled completely as much as LSU was a 'run-run-run' team at that point.

Yes, he would so why anyone would be offended by him saying he is leaving school ASAP is baffling to me

So if we get a bunch of cliche or coach speak we hammer a guy, but if he comes out and speaks his true intent, something that everyone knows already, we hammer him as well?
I do not agree with either approach. Why not just say that he will evaluate things after next year?
That's the equivalent to "coach speak". Especially if he has already made his decision.
