Wait, didn't he quit football to pursue a career in the ministry, and he was then later arrested for gun charges? I thought he later joined the military after that.
My memory of his recent past is fuzzy...
I believe the charges were dropped. In the Kalvarez Bassent/Auburn methodology this means no harm no foul. Kalvarez's memory of his recent past is a little fuzzy also but that's because of the second hand smoke from the weed that "wasn't his" that was next to the handgun that also "wasn't his".

Not gonna read 9 pages but this is hands down the correct response. Why do you think she is 28 and still available. Because the last 10 guys before you tapped out due to mom. There's also a reason she only lives a mile from her mom. She's not ready to cut the cord either.

Sorry dead argument.
Good point. Now when Auburn figures out how to stop a pro set pocket passer they can play for something other than second place.

2011 Ellis Johnson sums it up best. 2013 Ellis Johnson sounds like a puppet.

Sorry dead link.
2011 Ellis Johnson. “What it’s about now is who can snap the football before the other team lines up. You can’t hardly get your players on and off the field. You can’t get your signals in and out. It’s become who has the best signal system or verbiage system. “
“Frankly, I don’t know what that proves except someone has a better verbiage package. It’s not about blocking, tackling, running, route running, throwing, and so forth. It’s something the college football world needs to look at.”

re: What's the best dog to get for running? Something a little smaller than a lab.

The best dog for running in my opinion is a Rhodesian Ridgeback. You can't wear them down plus they are tough as hell. If you can make an exception about their size (about the same as a lab).

We have a 105lb four year old male. Gets 20+ miles of road work a week. Usually 6-7 miles at a time. Temps below 60 impossible to run out. Has gone as much as 12 miles in a run but could easily go farther. Laughs at anything below 4 miles. But contrary to popular belief the heat/humidity does affect them in the summer and runs still must be monitored. Will still outlast any other bread in the heat though. They are also immune to most insect bits. These dogs are larger than labs unless you are seriously overfeeding your lab. They are very very high energy. The biggest mistake people make with RR's is they get one because they look cool and are to lazy to work them then have 100+ pounds of muscle bouncing of the walls.

re: Is Gus Malzahn the founding father of HUNH?

I think Gus, if he is smart wont say a damn thing. Saban looks bad in this deal so far, and Gus saying much of anything just takes that light away.
Explain to me how Saban looking bad is really going to affect him. Is it going to cost him some recruits? He just signed the #1 class for how many years in a row now, so I guess no it's not really going to hurt recruiting. Is he going to be fined by his employer for being a poor representative of the company? Laughable right. Maybe it's his relationship with the media that will suffer? Again laughable right. I'm sure you can come up with something that Nick Saban is going to suffer through for "looking bad" in all of this but off the top of my head I really don't see "him looking bad" in all of this really having any adverse effect on him or the program in any way whatsoever.

I've been out of college for 5 years now. Every now in then I dream that it's 3/4 through the semester and I've missed every class for one particular subject. It's usually an elective but I'm worried that I will not be able to graduate without it in the dream.
I've had various versions of this dream for for 22 years now. I think it might have something to do with the fact that I partied through college and finally got my degree after all of my friendd had already finished. That combined with the fact that I didn't walk in my commencement ceremony. I was so relieved to be finished I just had my diploma mailed to me. So I might have some closure issues or something with it.

Why is it all on Saban? Can one man really change rules on a whim?Is he really that powerful or are there others who don't like it but are using Saban as the face?

Lets not act like we played a perfect game and y'all shite the bed because that's what you're trying to make the narrative. We turned the ball over twice and still won while racking up 525 yards of offense. Three interceptions didn't cause that. In the two years that we've run the HUNH against LSU we've had 1000 yards of offense and 62 points. Not exactly stopping it.
OUCH!

So what you are really saying is that you are afraid of the HUNH so you want to limit it as much as possible.
Apparently you are like the rest and only pull what you want to from my posts. I have stated more than once that I don't want the rule change. That I am confident the HUNH will be figured out and extinct in a short time. It actually sounds more like HUNH fans are afraid that their coach can't be successfull without it.

You're right. Auburn has just been lighting up draft boards with their technically sound receivers under Gus. Admit it, when a corner blows his assignment with his eyes in the backfield your grandmother could get open. Pro scouts know this (see Phillip Lutzencurtchen).

It all boils down to whether or not the HUNH is what people want the game to become. Obviously there are other powers that be that don't. Saban is powerful but he's not in this alone. He doesn't just walk into a meeting and say "This is what I want. Do it." and get his way. So why does it have the legs in the rules committee that it does?
