The reason most Mizzou fans talk trash is pretty simple, since it's all we've known pretty much.
In Kansas City, we are 3rd class citizens behind beakers and K-State fans. It's a constant shite talking mega-storm between three teams that really aren't very good or very traditional. Throw in some Nebraska and Oklahoma douchebags...HORRIBLE pro teams and a nice 150 year Civil War feud and you get some pretty angry and defensive fans.
St. Louis fans had to deal with Illinois fans splitting their town, not to mention being second class citizens to the Cardinals for years. So they are pretty good at defending their team as well.
Really, unless you live in rural Mid-Missouri, you're pretty much constantly defending your team from some shitthead who is talking trash to you. Throw in 25 years of sucking really really bad and well....that's how we got here.
As for being dicks on this board? I can't really help ya there.

Mizzou fans respect the hell out of the SEC, this is where we wanted to land. Hell we even started a huge arse fanbase campaign to get here. The problem is, is most of you frickers around here expect us to droll and worship at the alter of the SEC nonstop to stroke your egos. frick that shite...quit acting like dicksmacks...respect goes both ways.

Because A & M is a coveted program, has a storied tradition, fits well with the SEC culture and is SEC worthy. Missouri is none of those things and is more Midwestern in culture and they don’t fit well with the SEC.
I’ve been around too many Missouri Fans to know they are more like Illinois, Iowa, Northwestern, Michigan State, Indiana, Minnesota than they are like Arkansas, Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, State, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, etc. If the SEC wanted to lock down the state of Missouri, Southwest Missouri State would have been a better long-term option.
