It’s time to move the SEC Baseball Tournament from Hoover!

They will never move it, parking/tailgating would be a huge issue in both of the new places you listed. And the campground right at the park is huge as well. Plus Exit 10 at Hoover has grown tremendously.

If Birmingham, might as well leave it in Hoover
Memphis is not central enough for entire conference

I really think it needs to be moved around.
Several quality minor league parks that could host it.

Biloxi
Spring training site in Florida, pick one
If you schedule it with Braves, their home stadium would be a nice location

Casinos in south Mississippi would be fun but I don’t think it’s centrally located enough to attract fans in driving distance but the ones that did come would have a blast.

Memphis is central enough for the teams that comprise most of the fans that attend. Oxford, Starkville, Baton Rouge, Fayetteville, Auburn, Lexington, Athens, Columbia, Tuscaloosa, Knoxville, and Nashville are all a ~6 hour drive or closer, most of those being much closer than a 6 hour drive. It's centrally located to more schools than Birmingham is and is in a perfect location for fans to have things to do in walking distance of the stadium. Reegardless, I agree, it needs to rotate around the geographic footprint of the conference

All are excellent venues. There’s plenty more. There is a ton of money to be made by this event if you include entertainment venues and the like. The RV argument is played out. The parking scene at TD Ameritrade at Omaha isn’t the greatest, but it gets the job done. Why can’t parking lots at some of these other places work.?

Why would they move from Hoover to shite holes Memphis or Birmingham? Have the thing in ATL or Biloxi at the shuckers park.

Screw Atlanta on Anything. I wish they would move SEC Football game out of Atlanta!

Let's say you cram 20 RVs per acre into parking at Hoover.

You still wind up with maybe 100 RVs. The typical RV has 2-3 people aboard. MOST will be some old retired couple and nobody else.

The RV argument is literally comprised of fewer than 1000 fans across all SEC fanbases who might, at some point, use an RV space at Hoover.

It's one of the dumbest arguments ever made related to SEC venue selection.

There are certainly nicer and newer stadiums to host it at like Regions Field, Autozone Park, and Nashville as well as a couple of neat location options like Pensacola or Biloxi.

Venue capacity, however, would be an issue at Regions Field, Pensacola, and Biloxi. While the Hoover Met is old, it can and has accommodated up to as much as 16,000 and routinely draws 10k to 11k for many of tbe tourney championship games. Right or wrong, I'm not sure the SEC office is going to mess with that.

Memphis and Nashville are probably the only two sensible alternatives that can provide the most centrally located venues that meet or exceed the Hoover Met's capacity
