He set the SEC up in a poor position with the 9 game conference schedule during an era where strength of schedule is meaningless. He’s pissed off the majority of coaches in the process.
To combat that, he tries to act tough on the guys coming back to college football, and throws out some major threats. He now has a legal disaster on his hands and is going to get emasculated by multiple players / schools on this issue.
I dont know how anyone has any confidence in him at this point.

If he loses this threat, he’ll step down or resign soon.
Universities will see he threatens you and your standing in the conference if you don’t play by his rules.
