I think some of you guys are premature on putting it all on Frazier. I take the approach that hell yes he put together some good stuff in high school and at camps but you never know how these guys adjust to the college game.

I just think he'll succeed. He's a smart kid and great athlete, and he's perfect for Auburn right now. I think we could RS him this year and let him adjust, and he'll go into 2012 ready to start

Exhibit A: Kodi Burns

Think about that without hindsight.

He is nothing like Kodi. You could tell in HS Kodi wasn't going to be a QB in College, plus he was very overrated.

Yep. I think it was great we got Frazier and looks like Pike. You never know which one of these two will be the man.

Though Frazier looks fantastic, what happens if Gus gets a head coaching job this year? Does Frazier go with him? Would he be good in a different offensive set?

From what i've heard so far about Frazier during summer workouts and what not, he came here ready to take the job. We won't know how he will fare against live SEC defenses yet, but he has already put in the hard work and the study time to know this offense backwards and forwards, so now all that is left is adjusting to the speed of the game.

I think we need to play Frazier this year and not redshirt him. Put him in wildcat situations and some possible goal line situations, kinda like Florida did with Tebow and Leak were the qb's.

You really think you "stole" a player from Bobby Petrino? Dont make me laugh. Petrino knows what he's doing. If a player got away, its because Petrino LET him get away. Petrino doesn't care about stars. Who knows more about recruiting, the recruiting services and other coaches, or Bobby fricking Perino? That's what I thought. Jesus you people don't know shite.

Everyone wanted Pike before the OSU bad performance and I would guess most of the coaching staffs that were recruiting him before he committed to Auburn would gladly take him if he changed his mind.

Who knows what the next season will be like for any team's starter. Injuries, guys screwing up their own careers and shite like a baseball player stealing a guy's girl have changed the course of more than one SEC team's starting quarterback through the last few seasons.
Everyone needs as many good backups as they can get.
No one wants to have to start a freshman quarterback in the SEC. Everyone needs a bunch of good reserves just in case.

The kids know sitting behind another guy is a possibility when they sign. I think the majority just want to feel like they'll get a chance to play at some point. I know most think they are capable and will one day win the starting job.

I say sign as many as possible and let them compete.

Why listen to me on this?

Allen jumped on the offer and committed. We got our man. Frazier was odd man out. Although CBP wants to take a QB every year, I don't think he wants to take two. Nobody in Arkansas was that upset with the way it worked out. Good luck to him.

I don't think so...I think most knew we would only take/get Allen. Why would 2 QB's of the same caliber go to the same school...especially one not named USC

Probably because of his injury.

He has had plenty of time to recover. The elite 11 out in Cali next week will be telling.

The reasonable Arkansas fans had this mindset. Most of Arkansas was furious that Frazier left state. I remember the meltdown

I agree, this will be the most important showing for him. The OSU showing was just days before surgery, so he was obviously fatigued and injured. And the Dallas tournament was his first serious throwing session since surgery, and he looked ok supposedly. So the Elite 11 will be the first showing where he has no excuses
