Like I said, if you are going to cut, make it in women's basketball. It lost $7 million for us last year. You never cut anything that is profitable. Are you nuts? Have you not thought that the success in baseball is what keeps their fans from bailing completely?

Big time hire. Even with the draw of the stadium, the money that goes into baseball and the fandom, I still didn't think someone would leave a good situation to move to Starkville. That said, hard to imagine watching the atmosphere there on a weekend SEC series and not be excited about being a part of that.

They threw the bank at a new stadium and coach. He is a great coach but he ain’t no spring chicken anymore. I hope they have some money left for NIL.
