It's official, Finebaum has called the end of the Bama dynasty

“I’ve given up trying to predict the end for Nick Saban. He’ll turn 70 in October and he’s as good today as he’s ever been. At some point, he is going to exit stage right. That is going to open the door for a lot of schools to suddenly grab that spot.”

While Alabama has been the perennial standard bearer for the college football world, Finebaum doesn’t believe the Crimson Tide will remain there after Saban’s eventual departure. While it may still be a premier program, the level of success it’s enjoyed under Saban is unduplicatable.

“I’m not saying Alabama will go away, but history will show they will not be as dominant as they are right now,” Finebaum said.

Recruiting would have to slide for some consecutive years before I will believe this. They may drop a game or two here or there but you'll never see them lose more than two in any year for a bit

I've been saying the same about Finebaum. Yet year after year there he is.

But he is on to something. Sooner or later we all exit right.

People also said that nobody would have as good of a run as Nebraska did or FSU did from 87-00. Then Alabama with Saban happened

It's pretty sad that SEC Nation was almost unwatchable without Paul and Marcus Spears

Saban has until 2025. But his end could come SOONER.

The extensions are nothing more than to stave off negative recruiters
I predict 2024
Or until some NIL player with a million in the bank mouths off at him at practice

That's crazy talk. It's been a while since I have watched college basketball, but the next thing somebody will say is that basketball dynasties like UCLA will also end.

Finebaum is so frightened to take a day off. So who knows?

Wow what a fake

So the most committed, strongest football program will still be good but their next coach likely won’t be the next greatest coach of all time

They’ll get fricking Dabo…

They’ll take a step back. Won’t be a huge step but no one is Saban
