Actually we moved out here in 2014. I'm from Mobile, AL. orig and lived in Atlanta for a long time after I got out of the military.

To be honest though, once I came out here, there's no other place I'd rather be.

I'll root for them when they're not playing the Braves but you're right, there's not much to be rooting for.

Not the SEC, and hasn’t been for years. Are you in the military? The majority of residents in the Springs are military or ex-military …

Yep, ex-military. Now a DOD contractor. But, tbh, we moved here for my wife's rheumatoid arthritis. She can't handle the heat and humidity of Georgia unfortunately.

We abandoned "East" when we added Texas A&M
We abandoned "South" when we added Missouri

So since 2012 we've just been "The Conference"

When the whole country got political, Texas and Oklahoma started to feel a lot more Southern.

To me, Oklahoma does seem like Georgia in a lot of ways.

Texas will always be its own thing for good or bad.

A bunch of freaking whiners around here. It never ends. Stop watching then. But we know that won't happen. Ratings for Texas' games will be through the roof as SEC fans all tune in hoping to see Texas put in their place. You figs will all start doing the Horns down at your games, even when you aren't playing Texas, just like those sheep frickers in College Station.

theballguy - thank you for your service. And your continued service as a DoD contractor. I'm also on my second career but don't live in the Springs. I do have quite a few customers and friends in the area though. There is a LARGE contingent of A&M fans in that area.

It was no longer SEC when Arkansas was invited, but go on.

I would add to the OP; this is not college sports in general as we used to love. This is 100% professional sports using then names and colors of the teams we used to follow.

I do wish you guys had held your ground. Could have built with Clemson and Florida State, and then maybe even Miami and WVa.

You keep posting like this and I'm gonna wind up regretting that I told you to jump off the 430 river bridge

Agreed.

Time to kick out some shitty freeloaders.

Ole Miss, State, Mizzou, and South Carolina for starters.
