Sorry. Didn't mean to mislead. As far as I know, no decision has been made.

He looked good to me as well. I like our chances with King. Need big improvement on the online and can get it done.

I'd hope so if I were an A&M fan. I would not want to rely on Max Johnson.

King has big play ability, more of a gun slinger with wheels. I expect there to be a lot of great games from him and a few head scratching games with him in his first full year (barring he stays healthy).

Jumbo still the coach. There will be a mass exodus after this year and Jumbo will be paid $95 mill to drink and cuckold his wife to whatever BBC he wants. It's good to be depraved and with no morals leading 18-22 y/o.

Haynes got a little over-aggressive and got picked off too many times in limited action last year.
So it seems that whoever protects the ball better in camp will win tie job.

frick that. Our defense can bail us out from a couple picks a game. Our offense needs to be able to take 50/50 shots, or they're just going to keep going 3 or 6 and out like so many drives last year with Calzada. I want to see us be more aggressive on Offense. We have as good of talent as we're ever going to have. At some point you gotta give them the opportunity to excel.

One day you will realize it's the system and not the quarterback.

Let’s keep this as our secret. Heaven knows we don’t want any changes to what’s going on. fisher is the guy…

It’s a lot of 12 personnel football, the strength is running the ball and TE play obviously, do I want A&M in 5 WR sets more? Probably not bc our strength is running, the offense produced 1k rushers every year, I can’t remember if Achane hit 1k too last year with Spiller
In my time, Fran ran option ball, Sherman West coast pro style, Sumlin air raid, Jimbo pro style, I’m fine with it, even Sherman had top 10 offenses running this grind it out pro style in the big 12 once he got his QB’s

It's a complicated system with a ton of reads for the quarterback but doesn't really spread the field effectively.
Thus, quarterbacks are usually dumping it off on shorter passes while your "deep threats" are running long developing routes that take way too much time to be effective.
Jimbo also doesn't run RPO concepts nearly enough, especially as balanced as he is with his playcalling.
His system doesn't accentuate his player's strengths, for instance, he's often recruited true dual threat guys yet forcing them to play from the pocket.
He had a lot of success early at Florida State but you have to remember that was before the offensive revolution of today and he usually had top 5 talent in the nation there playing against the ACC.

That will win you a lot of games against less talented teams, you won't compete with the true elites though.
Not with the rules favoring the offenses like they do these days.
To an extent, that was Brian Kelly's problem at Notre Dame. I guess we will see if he's evolved.

The SWC invented the option, I know you don’t think we mean it, but every Aggie QB for the past 30 years and future 30 will run period bud

Um no.
They'll do what Jimbo tells them to do.

Go check yesterday’s practice on YouTube posted by Texags if you want to see Max running the option lol if he plays, you will see him run the option with Achane, note, obviously not a lot tho, his release is kinda slow even on the option sigh
