Norvell had a sort of Bill Curry feel. And after what FSU did this off-season, he was a no-go.

As an LSU fan I'd feel a lot better with Lanning than I would Norvell at Bama. Norvell would be a slam dunk hire.

No way Saban retired without enough notice to hire someone else. He'll be given a day or so for a victory lap before they announce it. If there's a high profile, weeks long search then the gumps are dumber than we thought.
