re: Lacy 2 mil per, ole miss @1.8

It depends on whether we are committed to a major investment in our OL in the portal. Unless we are willing to buy some talent in the trenches, it makes no sense to waste 2 mil on a RB.

This was a true freshman and he was being asked to play out of position against some very good DLs. AND, all he had for an OL coach was Brad Davis.
I cannot tell much about what kind of talent this kid might have been at the right position, with decent coaching, a decent scheme and a little experience..

re: Underwood over Lagway 10 out of 10 times right?

Taking a QB from the portal is like buying a car.
You really have to know the price to compare models.

We could have used that prick this year in BR to play qb.

If there is an opportunity to be offended here, I would to be offended, too.
re: Kaleb Jackson - 7 carries junior year. What's next?

The LSU student section WAS legendary..
Its still good. ,For two quarters...

There were some moments of brilliance.
But in the end, he was mostly hype and potential and little performance.

re: What's the story with Dylan Berymon?

He was committed to Texas.
Has he not signed?

re: Who was the LB (i think) recruit from north LA area that went to USC?
Posted by nitwit on 12/5/25 at 1:44 pm to PP7 for heisman
The Tacky Curtis camp really trolled LSU and this board about LSU's failure to pursue him as a franchise player. Funny, we don't hear much from them anymore...
re: QB Landon Duckworth update: LSU and SCAR in NIL battle...LSU still out front per Fong
Posted by nitwit on 12/3/25 at 4:03 pm to Shanks A Lot
I agree, but Duckworth is not gonna start for us next year. Who is? Were need somebody with some college experience and that comes from the portal. Our portal budget will need to accommodate this need.
Landry did huge damage in his involvement. He got good advice on damage control, and despite headwinds and negative publicity he alone created, LSU got a top coach.
Make no mistake: LSU got Kiffin despite Landry, instead of because of him.
He had to assure Kiffin to assuage the very fears he created.

Thanks for the helpful, descriptive information to explain your response to the podcast

Jeff Landry did a lot of damage in the process.
I hope O never comes near LSU football again.
ND and Freeman have a SOSrating of 7 nationally this year. We are 16.

re: OU's front 7 vs LSU's OL

Even with a non existent offense, i do not think OK. scores 35 on us.
Ordinarily, i would agree with you. As a fan, i like the suits.
But here, Wilson is looking to please the players, not the fan's sense of tradition.
The team has pretty much lost fan loyalty , but Wilson has to keep the team together for at least another week. I don' t know whether a few players asked him to do this, or what, but if creates unity in the locker room, that's good.

I think most people understand that the OL is so bad nobody can play well.
But we have no good choices at QB in these circumstances.
The disappointment in MVB has caused the Rant to do what it always does: yearn for the guy on the bench, who happens to be Nuss.
They now want to remember the Nuss who is a capable passer, but forget the Nuss who is a turnover/ sack/ time out machine when he is panicked.
Against the Ok. DL he will panic. Nuss in full panic is the option to be compared to MVB.
I don’t have a big enough sample to know what MVB will likely do against OU, but Nuss will reverse field until he is sacked somewhere in Texarkana, if history is a guide on his reaction to the pass rush.
