it took florida roughly 90 years to win a national title. They won another 10 years later. Don't you think, in 1996/1997, it would have been silly to presume it'd be another 90 years before they won another?

That's how silly everyone sounds thinking it'll be another 40 years. Unless kirby dies tomorrow and we replace him with another ray goff, something tells me we're way ahead of schedule compared to last time.

And the refs spotted them 7 on the Stetson “fumble”.

And let's not forget about the Bryce Young "non fumble" that could have been
another 7 pt swing

The road to coming back starts here.
Gators up to #8 in 2023 recruiting ranking, just one behind the mutts.

did I sleep too long and it's December already?

Bragging about recruiting rankings in the summer is one of the absolute lowest/lamest forms of smack talk.

Just stating that recruiting is the road to returning to championship level is not talking smack! If I wanted to talk smack I would have just said, "Even though they won the Natty last year, Georgia still suxs! The Gators will kick that dog arse this year, enjoy the 9-3 season and second place in the East, Losers!"

See the difference?

This so patently illogical. Every game is of the 2021 season is relevant. It’s the basis for who plays in the SECC, who makes the playoff, who is invited to bowl games. You continue to point to one game as your only point of reference. Then attempt to credential it by a game AL lost. I’m logically pointing out that with the healthy(er) version of Metchie& Williams AL lost to an 8&4 A&M team with their backup QB. 6-7 Auburn gifted you a win. And you struggled to beat Arkansas at home. And you beat two 6-7 teams who fired their coaches by a combined 8 points in FL & LSU Again, With said players. If A&M doesn’t lose to Miss State, LSU, & Arky you don’t make Atlanta. AL had no bearing on those games. You were “lucky” they did lose. By your exact logic the SECC has nothing to do with the NC because they were different teams playing under different circumstances…as health is ever evolving.
AL was “lucky” UGA treated the SECC as a bye which it proved to be. AL was “lucky” UGA didn’t line up in the I formation and run it at will.

I doubt you have medical records, you don’t know who was healthy, how healthy, or the length of any and all disclosed or undisclosed injuries by those who played one or 40 snaps. And that’s not a fault, why would you know? The fault is in excuse making and asserting a hypothetical as fact. Attempting to assertively confirm the relative health of both teams in both games with nothing but anecdote and hyperbole is total folly.

He played less snaps than Jameson. Bama lucked out both games because of that.

He could have played much more if he or the coaches had wanted. Luck had nothing to do with it.

Could have is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is how many he played.

The only verifiable thing that matters is the snap count. That tells us who did or didn’t play, and then how much they played.

True. The number of snaps missed by the 7 Bama starters was a huge number vs the fewer Georgia players.

Yes, but not when discussing the games between AL and Ga.

I have the game that showed who was cleared to play and who was too injured to play. We have Kirby saying his team was the healthiest it had been in a long time while Bama was losing players.
