It's actually kinda funny to see LSU's view of Chavis be a reality

a reasonable faction of our fan base (including myself) also think Kevin Steele is not a drooling retard like this board seems to think. With that said I am very pleased LSU has Aranda among those three options

Everyone thinks LSU fans are crazy but we are actually the only sane ones.

A good majority of our losses when he was with us are his fault. He could never call a good defense when he was under pressure.

Chavis could have had some epic defenses at LSU had he just not been loyal to Brick Haley. Seriously between chavis coddling brick and Les making his bffl the highest paid assistant in cfb LSU is the king of nepotism hires

eta: I can't forget Les having Peveto bringing his siracha infused potato salad to the table

As a UT fan I can tell you Chavis was personally responsible for at least 4 Heisman trophy winners. After tonight most likely 5.

My Dad and most of my family are UT fans, so I knew ahead of time. I watch a lot of UT football with them, so I had seen him in action. I knew it would happen eventually at LSU, and then at A&M.

There were so many examples of Chavis blowing leads at LSU -- I still find myself worried until the last second of every game because of him.

One point of distinction: we told A&M they better not sleep on leads of 10-14 points because Chavis would go into 100% prevent D. I would never have foreseen Chavis blowing a 34pt lead.

Chavis just hit the high water mark for a professional "hold my beer" moment.

Maybe he got confused and thought he was doing something nice for the ACLU?

Both of these are absolutely true. My bother-in-law lives in Tennessee and told me about 3rd and Chavis. I was skeptical and disbelieving at first as Chavis lived off the LSU talent. Then reality hit and I'm glad he is gone.

Hate the way he left but would never trade Aranda for Chavis.
